The system may include a pressure sensor communicatively coupled with the elongated body member and configured to be positioned in an abdominal cavity and adapted to sense an increase in intra-abdominal pressure. The pressure sensor generates a first signal that is indicative of a change in the intra-abdominal pressure upon occurrence of the stress event. The system includes a processing circuit to process the first signal sensed by the pressure sensor. The processing circuit is configured to generate a second signal causing an adjustment of tensioning force in the elongate body member thereby changing magnitude of a supporting force to the urethra.

An excreta identification device includes: a sound data acquisition unit that acquires sound data collected by a microphone arranged in a toilet; an excreta identification unit that identifies which of defecation, urination, and farting has been performed by inputting the acquired sound data to an identification model subjected to machine learning where sound data indicating any of defecation sound, urination sound, and farting sound is an input value, and which of defecation, urination, and farting has been performed is an output value; and an identification result output unit that outputs an identification result.

UROFLOW MEASUREMENT DEVICE IMPLEMENTING LOAD CELL BASED WEIGHT MEASUREMENT USING RIGID SUPPORT PASSING THROUGH SPACER WITHIN FLEXIBLE DIAPHRAGM OF HOUSING

A device includes: housing having top surface, bottom surface, and at least one side surface connected between top surface and bottom surface; a load cell positioned within housing; flexible section positioned within at least one of bottom surface or top surface of housing; rigid section positioned within flexible section, rigid section having opening surrounded by rigid material; rigid support having first end, second end, and center section; wherein first end of rigid support is positioned within housing and coupled to load cell; and wherein center section of rigid support passes through opening in rigid section positioned within flexible section, wherein center section of rigid support contacts rigid material of rigid section surrounding opening, wherein second end of rigid support is outside of housing.

PERSONAL HEALTH TRACKING URINALYSIS DEVICE

A health monitoring urinalysis system that monitors several health indicators from human urine is provided. The system includes a temperature sensor and several electrochemical sensors that are installed in a urine collection basin, such as, a toilet or a urinal and may automatically collect urine information after each use. The system collects data during the routine and normal use of a urine collection basin. The system includes a control and measurement unit that may be installed outside the urine collection basin. The control and measurement unit receives sensor measurements and transmits the measurements to one or more remote electronic devices. The remote electronic devices and/or the processor of the control and measurement unit perform data analysis, provide diagnostic, and generate health alerts. The system performs recurrent health monitoring after the urine collection basin is used and may detect abnormal conditions at early stages, in addition to a routine urine test.

An intraluminal microneurography probe has a probe body configured to be introduced into an artery near an organ of a body without preventing the flow of blood through the artery. An expandable sense electrode and an expandable stimulation electrode are fixed to the probe body at one end of each electrode such that movement of the other end toward the fixed end causes the sense electrode to expand from the probe body toward a wall of the artery. A ground electrode is configured to couple to the body, and a plurality of electrical connections are operable to electrically couple the electrodes to electrical circuitry. The sense electrode is operable to measure sympathetic nerve activity in response to excitation of the stimulation electrode. A radio frequency ablation element is located between the expandable sense electrode and expandable stimulation electrode, and is operable to ablate nerves proximate to the artery.

Method and apparatus for measuring flow through a lumen

A prosthesis for monitoring a characteristic of flow includes a first tubular prosthesis having a lumen and a sensor for detecting the characteristic of flow through the lumen. The sensor may be covered with another tubular prosthesis or by a layer of material in order to insulate the sensor from the fluid flow. A pocket may be formed between the tubular prosthesis and the adjacent layer of material or prosthesis and the sensor may be disposed in the pocket.
