Extended-use catheters
Described is a catheter for being retained inside the body for extended periods, and a catheter mating device that can connect to the catheter to move the catheter inside of the body or remove it from the body. The catheter mating device has a stem with an apparatus at its distal end. The apparatus is moveable between a first position and a second position. When in its first position, the distal end is configured to fit in the proximal end of the catheter. When in its second position, the distal end engages the proximal end of the catheter and connects the catheter mating device to the catheter.
Apparatus for effective ablation and nerve sensing associated with denervation
An intravascular catheter for nerve activity ablation and/or sensing includes one or more needles advanced through supported guide tubes (needle guiding elements) which expand to contact the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the needles to be advanced though the vessel wall into the extra-luminal tissue including the media, adventitia and periadvential space. The catheter also includes structures which provide radial and lateral support to the guide tubes so that the guide tubes open uniformly and maintain their position against the interior surface of the vessel wall as the sharpened needles are advanced to penetrate into the vessel wall. Electrodes at the distal ends of the guide tubes allow sensing of nerve activity before and after attempted renal denervation. In a combination embodiment ablative energy or fluid is delivered to ablate nerves outside of the media.
SANITARY DEVICE FOR URINE GLUCOSE TEST
A sanitary device for the urine glucose test includes a urine container formed on an inner wall of a main body, and a measuring module with an inner space mounted at a bottom of the urine container. Within the inner space, a lens attaches to the bottom of the urine container, a rail faces a bottom surface of the lens, and a driving module moves a light unit shooting a detection beam to a measuring surface of the lens along the rail. The measuring surface contacts urine in the urine container, and reflects the detection beam out of the bottom surface into a sensor. The sensor is electrically connected to a processor. The processor determines a urine glucose level and generates a urine glucose level data instantly from an angle of incidence of the detection beam on the measuring surface and from a beam intensity signal from the sensor.
Systems and methods for neurological traffic and/or receptor functional evaluation and/or modification
Systems and methods for controlled sympathectomy procedures for neuromodulation are disclosed. A system for controlled micro ablation procedures is disclosed. A guidewire including one or more sensors or electrodes for accessing and recording physiologic information from one or more anatomical sites within the parenchyma of an organ as part of a physiologic monitoring session, a diagnostic test, or a neuromodulation procedure is disclosed. A guidewire including one or more sensors and/or a means for energy delivery, for performing a neuromodulation procedure within a small vessel within a body is disclosed.
Method, device and system for non-invasively monitoring physiological parameters
A system for monitoring vital signs, configured to be used in conjunction with a computerized mobile device, the system including: a cover sensor assembly adapted to be operably engaged with the computerized mobile device, the cover sensor assembly having integrated therein at least one physiological sensor; a physiological data acquisition module configured to generate a physiological parameter measurement descriptive of a physical stimulus received by the at least one physiological sensor; and a validation module configured to control a validity status of the physiological parameter measurement.

Methods for renal function determination
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for determining the renal glomerular filtration rate or assessing the renal function in a patient in need thereof. The method includes administering a pyrazine compound of Formula I to a patient and monitoring the rate in which the kidneys of the patient eliminate the pyrazine from the systemic circulation of the patient. The pyrazine compound fluoresces when exposed to electromagnetic radiation which is detected using one or more sensors. The rate in which the fluorescence decreases in the patient is used to calculate the renal glomerular filtration rate in the patient.
Incontinence care system and method therefor
A system and a method of detecting a voiding event of a care-receiver uses a temperature sensor for measuring temperatures in real-time at a location adjacent a lower portion of the care-receiver's torso where the voiding event is to occur. The system and method then determines the voiding event based on the measured temperatures.
Offset illumination of a scene using multiple emitters in a laser mapping imaging system
Offset illumination using multiple emitters in a fluorescence imaging system is described. A system includes an emitter for emitting pulses of electromagnetic radiation and an image sensor comprising a pixel array for sensing reflected electromagnetic radiation. The emitter comprises a first emitter and a second emitter for emitting different wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation. The system is such that at least a portion of the pulses of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the emitter comprises a laser mapping pattern.
PRESSURE MEASUREMENT DEVICE
A bladder pressure measurement device comprises a conduit for receiving a flow of urine, a valve actuatable between a first open configuration and a second restricted configuration, a pressure sensor, upstream of the valve and arranged to measure the pressure of the flow of urine through the conduit, and a data recorder and/or a data transmitter. The pressure sensor obtains a first measurement when the valve is in the first open configuration and a second measurement when the valve is in the second restricted configuration. The data recorder and/or transmitter records or transmits data representative of the first and second measurements.
