Interface Module For Use With Nerve Monitoring and Electrosurgery

Concepts presented herein relate to an interface module that can be electrically coupled to an electrical stimulation generator, a radio frequency generator and an instrument. A selection module is coupled to the interface module and operates in a first mode to deliver electrical stimulation signals from the electrical stimulation generator to the instrument and in a second mode to deliver radio frequency signals from the radio frequency generator to the instrument.

Neurostimulation therapy

Techniques regarding neuromodulation are provided. For example, one or more embodiments described herein can comprise a system, which can comprise a memory that can store computer executable components. The system can also comprise a processor, operably coupled to the memory, and that can execute the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can include a mapping component that can generate a stimulus map by mapping a stimulus parameter to a response from an entity to application of a neuromodulating stimulus, with the first neuromodulating stimulus being applied to the entity based on the first stimulus parameter, to therapeutically cause or prevent a sensation.

Analyzing ECAP signals

Systems, devices, and techniques include analyzing evoked compound action potentials (ECAP) signals to assess the effect of a delivered electrical stimulation signal. In one example, a system includes processing circuitry configured to receive ECAP information representative of an ECAP signal sensed by sensing circuitry, and determine, based on the ECAP information, that the ECAP signal includes at least one of an N2 peak, P3 peak, or N3 peak. The processing circuitry may then control delivery of electrical stimulation based on at least one of the N2 peak, P3 peak, or N3 peak.

A method for measuring eye tracking in a patient and capturing ocular biometric identifying information from the patient may involve: displaying a video to the patient on a stimulus screen of an eye tracking and biometric identification system; tracking movement of the patient's eyes during display of the video via an eye tracking camera of the eye tracking and biometric identification system; capturing ocular biometric identifying information from the patient with an ocular biometric capture device of the eye tracking and biometric identification system; generating, with a computer processor of the eye tracking and biometric identification system, a score representing an ability of the patient's eyes to track the video; and confirming, with the computer processor, an identity of the patient, based on the captured ocular biometric identifying information.

DETERMINATION DEVICE, DETERMINATION METHOD, PROGRAM, AND INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM

In each trial, brain electrical activity at multiple points of a target person is measured. An acquirer of a determination device acquires response matrices for n trials under a first condition and response matrices form trials under a second condition. An analyzer performs canonical correlation analysis on the acquired response matrices to obtain first canonical variable time series. A distance calculator calculates a distance between the trials from the obtained first canonical variable time series to obtain a distance matrix. A determiner obtains a possibility that the n trials and the m trials are classified into two different clusters from the distance matrix and determines whether the first condition and the second condition are substantially different. It is possible to provide to a single target person a first content in n trials and a second content in m trials so as to determine a difference in interest of the single target person. It is possible to provide the same content to a first subject who is the target person in n trials and to a second subject who is the target person in m trials so as to determine whether the two are different or the same.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VENTILATORY ASSIST

A device and method for controlling a level of ventilatory assist applied to a patient by a mechanical ventilator measures, during patient's assisted breath, an inspiratory volume V.sub.assist produced by both the patient and the mechanical ventilator, an inspiratory volume V.sub.vent contributed by the mechanical ventilator, and an inspiratory assist pressure P.sub.vent produced by the mechanical ventilator. A first relation between pressure P.sub.vent and volume V.sub.assist and a second relation between pressure P.sub.vent and volume V.sub.vent are calculated. Using the first and second relations, a ratio is determined between pressure P.sub.vent at volume V.sub.vent and pressure P.sub.vent at volume V.sub.assist, with volume V.sub.vent equal to volume V.sub.assist, for a plurality of volumes V.sub.vent and V.sub.assist. Values of P.sub.vent are multiplied by the corresponding calculated ratios to calculate a third relation between a predicted inspiratory pressure P.sub.pred and volume V.sub.assist. The mechanical ventilator is responsive to the third relation to control the level of ventilatory assist.
