VEHICLE
A vehicle includes an air-path portion, an engine, and a rotating fan located more rearward than first and second seats. A wind pressure near the air-path portion located on a side surface of the vehicle is detected by a pressure sensor, and based on a detection result, an ECU controls a direction of rotation of the rotating fan. The rotating fan introduces/discharges air to/from an engine room via the air-path portion. If the pressure sensor detects a negative pressure, the rotating fan is controlled so as to discharge air from the engine room via the air-path portion. On the other hand, if the pressure sensor detects zero or a positive pressure, the rotating fan is controlled so as to introduce air to the engine room from the air-path portion.
VEHICLE
A vehicle includes first and second seats supported by a frame, a cargo bed located more rearward than first and second seating portions of the first and the second seats, and a radiator located more rearward than the first and second seating portions and lower than a lower surface of the cargo bed. The radiator is located farther outward, in a width direction of the vehicle, than an engine that is located more rearward than a front end of the first and the second seats and at or substantially at a center of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction. The radiator includes an outer surface facing rearward and outward of the vehicle. A rotating fan to introduce air from outside the vehicle to inside the vehicle via the outer surface of the radiator is located on either one of an outer surface side and an inner surface side of the radiator.
Cab and fasteners for vehicle cab
A utility vehicle including a cab assembly, a roof assembly, a windshield assembly, a rear window assembly, and two or more couplers attached to one or more ROPS members. The couplers are each aligned with and are releasably connected with a buckle insert attached to one or more of the roof assembly, windshield assembly, rear window assembly and doors of the cab assembly.
Method for assembling vehicles of a family of vehicles and corresponding vehicles
A side-by-side off-road vehicle has a cockpit, a storage compartment disposed rearward of the cockpit, a motor compartment disposed rearward of the storage compartment, a frame, four ground engaging members, a motor, and a pivotable cargo bed. In a lowered position, the cargo bed extends over at least a portion of the motor and storage compartments. At least one first partition defines at least in part a front of at least a portion of the storage compartment. At least one second partition defines at least in part a rear of at least a portion of the storage compartment. A floor defines at least in part a bottom of the storage compartment. The storage compartment has left and right access apertures defined in left and right sides of the vehicle. A method of assembling a vehicle of a family of vehicles is also contemplated.
Hydrostatic transmission pedal stroke limiter
A hydrostatic transmission pedal stroke limiter includes a stop connected through a linkage to a range shift lever for limiting the travel of the hydrostatic transmission actuator arm when the range shift lever is in the low gear range, and reducing sound significantly when operating in the low gear range.
Utility vehicle
A utility vehicle includes: a power unit that outputs drive power; a drive shaft that receives the drive power transmitted from the power unit; a front axle that receives the drive power transmitted from the drive shaft; a right front wheel connected to the front axle; a left front wheel connected to the front axle; a right clutch configured to disable power transmission from the drive shaft to the right front wheel; a left clutch configured to disable power transmission from the drive shaft to the left front wheel; a clutch actuator that actuates the left clutch and the right clutch; and a controller that controls the clutch actuator.
Snorkel system and method of making and using the same
The presently disclosed subject matter is generally directed to a system and method of protecting vehicle engines by preventing water from entering the belt drive and/or air intake of the vehicle motor. The disclosed system includes a housing and one or more snorkels that extend in an upward direction from the housing. Each snorkel includes a water sensor that detects the level of water outside of the vehicle. When water reaches the snorkel maximum depth and triggers the sensor, valve within the housing closes to divert water away from the motor. Once the vehicle is back on dry land, the user can reset the valve to the open position.
Closable air vent
A closable air vent may be bonded to a laminated or tempered windshield used on UTV or other types of vehicles. The air vent may include a vent body with a flap opening and a bond channel, a flap pivotably secured in the flap opening on a flap pivot, and an actuator coupled with the flap via a roll pin and displaceable between a flap closed position and a flap open position. In the flap closed position, the roll pin is disposed on one side of the flap pivot, and in the flap open position, the roll pin is disposed on an opposite side of the flap pivot.
Utility vehicle
Provided is a utility vehicle that can efficiently take the traveling wind into a vehicle and discharge muddy water and earth and sand that enter a passage for taking in the traveling wind to the outside of the vehicle. The utility vehicle includes an opening formed on the vehicle body, the opening through which a traveling wind can be taken into the vehicle body when the vehicle body travels, a radiator capable of cooling a coolant for cooling a driving source by exchanging heat with the traveling wind taken in from the opening, a passage that is provided between the opening and the radiator and guides the traveling wind taken in from the opening to the radiator, and a discharge mechanism that performs discharge operation to discharge foreign matter to outside when the foreign matter enters inside of the passage together with the traveling wind.
REAR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A utility vehicle includes a rear suspension assembly which has a trailing arm generally extending longitudinally. Also, the rear suspension assembly includes an upper radius rod extending in a generally lateral direction relative to a centerline of the vehicle. Additionally, the rear suspension assembly includes a lower radius rod extending in a generally lateral direction relative to the centerline of the vehicle. The rear suspension assembly further includes a suspension member configured to control toe of the at least one rear ground-engaging member.
