EXHAUST ASSEMBLY FOR A UTILITY VEHICLE
A utility vehicle includes an exhaust assembly fluidly coupled to an engine. Depending on various parameters, such as the size and/or performance of the vehicle, the exhaust assembly is required to meet certain emissions regulations. Such emissions regulations may be met by increasing the temperature within the exhaust assembly, however, at particularly high temperatures, a catalyst of the exhaust assembly may be damaged. Therefore, the exhaust assembly includes various options for cooling portions thereof to remove heat from the assembly.
VEHICLE
A vehicle including an engine body that has a crankcase that rotatably supports a crankshaft, a cylinder, and a cylinder head provided with an intake port and an exhaust port, in which a central axis of the crankshaft extends in the vehicle width direction, a CVT disposed on a side portion in the vehicle width direction of the engine body, a transmission disposed on one side in a front-rear direction of the engine body, an intake pipe connected to the intake port, an air cleaner connected to the intake pipe, an exhaust pipe connected to the exhaust port, and an exhaust muffler connected to the exhaust pipe. At least a part of each of the transmission, the intake pipe, the air cleaner, the exhaust pipe, and the exhaust muffler is disposed in a region where the engine body is projected in the front-rear direction.
Vehicle
A vehicle shown herein is a side by side powersports vehicle having a utility bed recessed in the rear body portion below an upper surface, the utility bed forming a stepped portion relative to the rear body portion and having a maximum lateral width greater than a diameter of at least one of the wheels, and a minimum width less than a diameter of at least one of the wheels, whereby a spare wheel may be stored on the stepped portion of the utility bed. As shown herein, the utility bed is defined as a removable tub, which can be removed from the rear body portion. The utility bed has defined troughs in a floor thereof angled rearwardly wherein the utility bed has drains which drain away from any heat source of the vehicle. The seats of the vehicle allow longitudinal movement and tilt capability.
Mobile platform systems and methods
A mobile work system and methods for operationally receiving a work performing and/or energy delivering attachment. A work platform is powered by a power output device and includes a source of electricity for powering the attachment. The platform has a first end and a second end generally opposite the first end. A first attachment interface is connected to the first end, and a second attachment interface, substantially operationally equivalent to the first attachment interface, is connected to the second end. The first end of the platform also includes a first steering mechanism, and the second end includes a second steering mechanism substantially operationally equivalent to the first steering mechanism, whereby the platform is configured to be propelled and steered in a first direction and propelled and steered in a second direction generally opposite the first direction by the first and second steering mechanisms, respectively.
DRIVE DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVE TRAIN OF AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A drive device (7) for a motor vehicle drive train of an electric vehicle has a plurality of electric machines (12, 13, 14) and a transmission, where different transmission ratios between an input shaft and an output side can be selected. In this case, a first electric machine (13) is connected to the input shaft of the transmission or can be connected thereto, and the output side of the transmission is coupled to at least one output drive (9, 10), which is used in the motor vehicle drive train to connect a respective drive axle of the electric vehicle. In order to achieve the highest possible driving comfort by means of this drive device (7), a second electric machine (14) is also permanently connected to the output side.
OFF-HIGHWAY RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
An off-highway recreational vehicle includes side-by-side passenger and driver seats held within a chassis. The seats sit low in the chassis and are covered by a roll-over protection system (ROPS). The vehicle is powered by an engine rearward of the seats that utilizes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to provide power to the ground engaging members, wherein the CVT is cooled via air captured by a CVT intake body located adjacent the driver-side seat, between the frame and external panels of the utility vehicle.
Utility Vehicle
A utility vehicle includes: a vehicle body; an occupant section disposed in the vehicle body and configured to accommodate an occupant; a door that is disposed at a portion of the vehicle body which portion is lateral to the occupant section and which is openable and closable; a trim that is attached to at least a portion of a first one of an edge portion of the door or a portion of the vehicle body which portion corresponds to the edge portion of the door, and that is configured to be in contact with a second one of the edge portion or the corresponding portion of the vehicle body when the door is in a closed state; and a cover covering the trim.
All-terrain vehicle
An all-terrain vehicle is provided comprising a chassis, four wheels and a passenger compartment that includes a passenger seating structure. The vehicle additionally comprises a drivetrain operatively connected to at least one of the wheels comprising at least one drive shaft and at least one torque transfer device. Furthermore the vehicle includes a prime mover that is mounted to the chassis entirely forward of a front edge of the seating structure and operatively connected to the drivetrain. The prime mover is structured and operable to provide motive force to at least one of the wheels.
Shift gate assembly for vehicle including gate seal and method of using same
A shift gate assembly that can include a shift plate, a gate seal and a shift lever. The shift plate can include a lever opening having an opening centerline. The gate seal can be made of an elastic material and connected to the shift plate and extend along the lever opening. The gate seal can include a slit extending along the lever opening and offset with respect to the opening centerline. The shift lever can extend through the lever opening and the slit, be selectively movable along the lever opening and the slit, and elastically deform the gate seal as the shift lever moves along the slit.
Deployable restraint barricade for a motor vehicle
A restraint barricade control system may include a restraint barricade configured to be mounted to a motor vehicle at or adjacent to an occupant access opening thereof, the restraint barricade having an non-deployed state and a deployed state, at least one sensor configured to produce at least one sensor signal corresponding to movement of the motor vehicle relative to at least one axis of an axis system of the motor vehicle, at least one actuator operatively coupled to the restraint barricade, a processor operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and to the at least one actuator, and a memory having instructions therein which, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to activate the at least one actuator to deploy the restraint barricade from the non-deployed state to the deployed state based on the at least one sensor signal.
