INTELLIGENT TISSUE CLASSIFIER OF BONE AND SOFT TISSUE
A method for intraoperative state analysis and classification of articular tissue comprising the steps of: sensing data of the articular tissue via a plurality of sensors situated in proximity to the articular tissue for detecting a response to a stimulus; determining state analysis and classification information through a verified means; processing the sensed data into a form adapted to be evaluated against a comparator; generating a means of predicting the state analysis and classification utilizing a historical dataset of processed information; and performing the state analysis and classification using the generated means based on processing the stimulus response obtained intraoperatively.
Kinetic assessment and alignment of the muscular-skeletal system and method therefor
A system is disclosed herein for providing a kinetic assessment and preparation of a prosthetic joint comprising one or more prosthetic components. The system comprises a prosthetic component including sensors and circuitry configured to measure load, position of load, and joint alignment. The system further includes a remote system for receiving, processing, and displaying quantitative measurements from the sensors. The kinetic assessment measures joint alignment under loading that will be similar to that of a final joint installation. The kinetic assessment can use trial or permanent prosthetic components. Furthermore, adjustments can be made to the applied load magnitude, position of load, and joint alignment by various means to fine-tune an installation. The kinetic assessment increases both performance and reliability of the installed joint by reducing error that is introduced by elements that load or modify the joint dynamics not taken into account by prior assessment methods.
Dental imager and method for recording photographic impressions
A dental imager includes an elongated handle with a rotatable head coupled to a distal end thereof and having a central platform with a plurality of arcuate scanning arms pivotally coupled thereto by a hinge. The arcuate scanning arms are of a shape and size for general deployment around a tooth and each include at least one scanner and a roller guide that comfortably rolls along the surface of the tooth or gums to bias the scanners a desired distance from the surface of the tooth, conducive for imaging thereof. In this respect, such a dental imager may be used in a process to scan and record the contours of an intraoral surface, the data of which may be used to create a digital three-dimensional surface impression printable by a 3D printer or the like.
WEARABLE DEVICE TO MONITOR MUSCULOSKELETAL LOADING, ESTIMATE TISSUE MICRODAMAGE AND PROVIDE INJURY RISK BIOFEEDBACK
A wearable device operably worn by a user for monitoring musculoskeletal loading on structure inside the body of the user includes a plurality of sensors, each sensor operably worn by the user at a predetermined location and configured to detect information about a biomechanical activity of musculoskeletal tissues, a limb segment orientation, and/or a loading magnitude or location thereon; and a processing unit in communication with the plurality of sensors and configured to process the detected information by the plurality of sensors to estimate the musculoskeletal loading, and communicate the estimated musculoskeletal loading to the user and/or a party of interest.
A SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER PRODUCT FOR DIFFERENTIATING BETWEEN TISSUE STATES AND TYPES
A method for differentiating between tissue states or types including receiving a sequence of thermal data of a tissue, wherein the sequence is sampled at at least one location of the tissue while the tissue is being thermally disturbed, deriving from the thermal data at least one tissue-related thermal variable associated with each of the tissue locations, segmenting the tissue into segments comprising the locations having corresponding the at least one thermal variable and generating an output indicating the tissue segments. The disclosure also includes a system and computer product for differentiating between tissue states or types.
EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
An exercise prescription apparatus includes a body shape measurement device that measures a body shape of a user changing with a progress of an exercise based on a previously prescribed exercise guide and a processor that predicts a future body shape of the user based on body shape history information obtained through the measured body shape of the user and to re-prescribe an exercise guide based on a body shape difference between the predicted future body shape and a target body shape.
COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY RECONSTRUCTION OF MOVING BODIES
A method for reconstructing at least a first and a second independently moving body from one 3D tomography scan includes performing a movement of the first body relative to the second body, obtaining the movement, obtaining a 3D tomography scan of the first body and the second body during the movement, and reconstructing a first 3D model of the first body and a second 3D model of the second body by applying the recorded movement to the 3D tomography scan. This has the effect that reconstruction of several 3D tomography scanned bodies is possible during motion of the scanned bodies.
Personalized avatar responsive to user physical state and context
Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate providing guidance to a user during performance of a program or routine using a personalized avatar. In an aspect, a system includes a reception component configured to receive biochemical information about a physiological state or condition of a user, including information identifying a presence or a status of one or more biomarkers. The system further includes an analysis component configured to determine or infer one or more characteristics of the physiological state or condition of the user based on the information identifying the presence or the status of the one or more biomarkers, and a visualization component configured to adapt an appearance of an avatar presented to the user based on the one or more characteristics to reflect the one or more characteristics.
PERFORMANCE SCANNING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE
A performance scanning system that operates to detect and measure surface parameters of a portion of an athlete and uses the surface parameters to determine the likelihood that the athlete's physical performance has been or will be impaired.
Photocured resin based attachment to jaw
A method and system are provided for measuring changes in a pose of a human jaw within a coordinate system of a pose tracking system. The method involves providing a configurable arm; configuring the configurable arm such that at least one rigid target portion of the configurable arm is compliant with operational conditions of the pose tracking system when a selected anchor region of a surface of an anchor portion of the configurable arm is in close proximity to a selected attachment region of the human jaw; positioning the configurable arm such that the anchor region is in close proximity to the attachment region; applying and curing a paste to rigidly couple the anchor region to the attachment region, and operating the pose tracking system to measure changes to the pose of the at least one rigid target portion when the configurable arm is rigidly coupled to the human jaw.
