Device and method to determine objectively visual memory of images
Apparatus, system, and computer readable media determine the probability of visual recognition of an image by a subject using electroencephalography (EEG) corresponding to a Visual Evoked Potential (VEP). The apparatus comprises means for presenting a series of visual stimuli corresponding to said image to evoke EEG signals. The visual stimuli of the image are presented in an orientation sequence based on a timing cycle. At least one prism is provided for placement in front of the series of visual stimuli corresponding to said image. The EEG signals evoked in response to said visual stimuli and said prism placed in front of said visual stimuli are recorded and processed by a processor. VEP is generated corresponding to the presence of a shift and thereby provides object statistic reliability of the visual recognition of the image by the subject.
BIO-INFORMATION MEASUREMENT DEVICE
A biological information measuring device includes a buckle including a first plate having a plate shape and being fixed to the other end of a second plate frame member and a second plate having a plate shape being rotatable. The second plate has a part that extends beyond the first plate when the second plate overlaps an outer surface of the first plate. A first fixing element is on a side of the extended part that becomes an inner surface when the second plate overlaps the outer surface of the first plate. A second fixing element is engageable with the first fixing element on the outer surface of the front end of the belt. An first engagement protrusion is on the first plate, and a second engagement protrusion overlaps the first engagement protrusion in a direction with the first engagement protrusion is on the second plate.
Method, system, and computer readable medium for generating pulse oximetry predictive scores (POPS) for predicting adverse outcomes in preterm infants
A method and system for generating pulse oximetry predictive scores for predicting adverse outcomes in preterm infants.
Methods and Systems for Modifying Bioactive Agent Use
Methods, computer program products, and systems are described that include measuring at least one effect of a combined bioactive agent and artificial sensory experience on an individual and/or modifying at least one of the bioactive agent or the artificial sensory experience at least partially based on the at least one effect.
DETECTING RECURRENCE OF A MEDICAL CONDITION
Presented are concepts for detecting recurrence of a medical condition in a subject previously treated for the medical condition. One such concept comprises, using natural language processing, extracting information from a data set comprising information relating to the subject prior to and/or during the subject's previous treatment for the medical condition. The extracted information is reformulated into structured data based on a standardized model. A data retrieval request comprising a structured query adhering to a template is obtained and, based on the structured query of the data retrieval request, data is retrieved from the structured data.
ASSESSING THE FUNCTIONAL ABILITY OF A PERSON TO PERFORM A TASK
Presented is a system and method for assessing the functional ability of a person to perform a task. The system comprises: a task identification unit adapted to identify the task to be performed by the person; and a task complexity unit adapted to obtain a task-specific complexity signal representative of a required level of functional ability to perform the identified task. A functional ability unit is adapted to obtain a functional ability signal representative of a determined functional ability of the person. An assessment unit is adapted to determine an ability of the person to perform the identified task based on the task-specific complexity signal and the functional ability signal.
Speech analysis algorithmic system and method for objective evaluation and/or disease detection
Systems and methods use patient speech samples as inputs, use subjective multi-point ratings by speech-language pathologists of multiple perceptual dimensions of patient speech samples as further inputs, and extract laboratory-implemented features from the patient speech samples. A predictive software model learns the relationship between speech acoustics and the subjective ratings of such speech obtained from speech-language pathologists, and is configured to apply this information to evaluate new speech samples. Outputs may include objective evaluation of the plurality of perceptual dimensions for new speech samples and/or evaluation of disease onset, disease progression, or disease treatment efficacy for a condition involving dysarthria as a symptom, utilizing the new speech samples.
METHOD FOR SENSING OF BIOMETRIC DATA AND USE THEREOF FOR BIDIRECTIONAL COMMUNICATION WITH NETWORKED DEVICES
A method of using a sensor platform of a garment of a wearer in order to interact with a remote networked device using a plurality of sensed biometric data, the method comprising: receiving from the sensors a set of the plurality of biometric data; comparing the set to a data model including a plurality of model data parameters; determining whether said comparing indicates a need for a command to be sent to the remote networked device in order to effect a change in an operational characteristic of the networked device; sending the command to the networked device; receiving a further set of the plurality of biometric data; further comparing the further set to the data model; and determining whether said further comparing indicates a need for a further command to be sent to the remote networked device in order to further effect a change in an operational characteristic of the networked device.
Method and system of multi-parameter evaluation of the effect of the environment on a person
The method and system for evaluating the effect of weather, geomagnetic background and the air on the condition of a person's bodyinvolves the input of personal databy a computer device user; the determination or specification of a geolocation; the transmission of the personal data and the geolocation data, to a processing unit; the requesting of environmental forecast data from a weather server; the transmission of the forecast data; the transmission of the user and forecast data to an encoder and the generation of a single hash code; the transmission of the hash code to a decoder and the correlation with a database of dependencies of the functioning of human body systems on weather, geomagnetic background and air condition parameters; and the transmission of the correlated data to a displayand the display of information about the effect of environmental parameters on the functioning of human body systems.
