According to some aspects, a magnetic resonance imaging system capable of imaging a patient is provided. The magnetic resonance imaging system comprising at least one B0 magnet to produce a magnetic field to contribute to a B0 magnetic field for the magnetic resonance imaging system and a member configured to engage with a releasable securing mechanism of a radio frequency coil apparatus, the member attached to the magnetic resonance imaging system at a location so that, when the member is engaged with the releasable securing mechanism of the radio frequency coil apparatus, the radio frequency coil apparatus is secured to the magnetic resonance imaging system substantially within an imaging region of the magnetic resonance imaging system.

Medical image diagnosis apparatus

A medical image diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment includes setting circuitry and image generating circuitry. The setting circuitry is configured to obtain position information with respect to a landmark of a patient in a first image generated by performing a first scan on the patient and to set a scan range to be used during a second scan by using the obtained position information, the position information being determined on a basis of the first image and expressed in an image taking system used during the first scan. The image generating circuitry is configured to generate a second image by performing the second scan on the scan range.

A bio-signal acquiring apparatus includes a sensor part and a signal processor. The sensor part includes a bio-signal sensor, a load sensor, and an ultrasonic sensor array, the bio-signal sensor configured to detect a bio-signal of an object that comes into contact with the sensor part, the load sensor configured to detect a contact load of the object, and the ultrasonic sensor array configured to detect contact load distribution of the object. The signal processor is configured to obtain a contact load of the object at a region of interest based on the contact load and the contact load distribution, and configured to output the contact load of the object at the region of interest and the bio-signal.

A method for medical imaging is provided. The method may include automatically determining that a positioning procedure of a subject has been finished based on image data of the subject captured by an image capturing device. The method may also include obtaining status information of a medical device. The method may further include causing the medical device to perform a scan on the subject based on a determination result that the positioning procedure of the subject has been finished, the status information of the medical device, and a starting signal of the scan.

A trolley system configured to transport a patient within an MRI environment includes a patient support portion, a base portion configured for movement relative to a floor, a lift coupled to the patient support portion and the base portion, an electric motor coupled to the lift, and an electric blower coupled to the patient transfer device. The lift is configured to change the elevation of the patient support portion relative to the base portion. The motor is mounted such that the elevation of the motor is fixed relative to base portion. The trolley system is positionable adjacent an MRI apparatus within the MRI environment and the magnetic field of the MRI does not interfere with the operation of the motor or blower. The trolley system may further include a patient transfer device having an air bearing. The blower is configured to deliver air to the air bearing.
