Provided is a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensing module including one or more light sources that emit light to a user; a plurality of optical sensors that receive reflected light from the user and generate sensing signals, each of the sensing signals being generated by one of the optical sensors; a read-out signal generating circuit that receives the sensing signals from the optical sensors and generate read-out signals by performing an analog-to-digital conversion on the sensing signals; and a signal processing circuit that receives the read-out signals, classifies the read-out signals according to one or more movement patterns of the user, measures a movement component of the user based on the classified read-out signals, and generates a PPG signal in which the movement component is removed.
Wearable devices and wearable assemblies with adjustable positioning for use in an optical measurement system
An optical measurement system includes a wearable device including a support assembly configured to be worn on a body of a user and a wearable assembly supported by the support assembly. The wearable assembly includes a plurality of light sources configured to emit a plurality of light pulses toward a target within the body of the user and a plurality of detectors each configured to receive a set of photons included in a light pulse included in the plurality of light pulses after the set of photons is scattered by the target. A position of the wearable assembly on the support assembly is adjustable.
Instrument for acquiring co-registered orthogonal fluorescence and photoacoustic volumetric projections of tissue and methods of its use
Disclosed are instruments and methods for acquiring co-registered orthogonal fluorescence and photoacoustic volumetric projections of an interrogated object. In an embodiment, an instrument includes a rotary mechanism configured to rotate an interrogated object relative to an array of photoacoustic transducers and an optical detector. An optical excitation unit is configured to irradiate the interrogated object with pulses of light, inducing both fluorescence and photoacoustic responses inside the interrogated object at each of a plurality of rotational positions. The array of photoacoustic transducers includes unfocused elements arranged in a pattern along an axis of rotation, the elements configured to detect photoacoustic signals generated inside the volume of the interrogated object. The optical detector is arranged opposite to the array of photoacoustic transducers with respect to the axis of rotation and is configured to register sources of fluorescence excited inside the interrogated object. Each of the optical excitation axes form with each of the optical detection axes, and with each of the photoacoustic detection axes, angles that are between 60° and 90° so as to enable acquisition of co-registered orthogonal fluorescence and photoacoustic volumetric projections of the interrogated object.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MODULAR HEADSET SYSTEM
Arrangements described herein relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for a headset system that includes a transducer configured to collect physiological data of a subject, a device housing configured to support the transducer, an insert portion disposed on the device housing, a support structure comprising a baseplate and a receiving portion, and a head cradle supported by the baseplate. The receiving portion extends in a direction that is oblique with respect to the baseplate. The insert portion is sized and shaped to engage the receiving portion to removably attach the device housing to the baseplate.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HUMAN POSE AND SHAPE RECOVERY
The pose and shape of a human body may be recovered based on joint location information associated with the human body. The joint location information may be derived based on an image of the human body or from an output of a human motion capture system. The recovery of the pose and shape of the human body may be performed by a computer-implemented artificial neural network (ANN) trained to perform the recovery task using training datasets that include paired joint location information and human model parameters. The training of the ANN may be conducted in accordance with multiple constraints designed to improve the accuracy of the recovery and by artificially manipulating the training data so that the ANN can learn to recover the pose and shape of the human body even with partially observed joint locations.
MEDICAL MOVABLE BODY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
A medical movable body system according to the present disclosure includes a medical movable body, a robot, a manipulator, and a controller. The robot is in a first space. The manipulator is in a second space. The controller executes: (A) making the robot self-travel to approach a patient; and after the (A), (B) operating an arm and/or a hand .
ACOUSTIC WAVE APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
An acoustic wave apparatus is used, the apparatus comprising: a supporting member supporting an examinee and having insertion opening; a subject holding member holding the subject; a transducer array including transducers and being distant from the subject holding member; a load acquiring unit acquiring a load value applied between the supporting member and the subject holding member based on an amount of deformation of the subject holding member; a memory unit storing a first load reference value determined based on the amount of deformation of the subject holding member and an area applied with the load when the subject holding member and the transducer array come into contact with each other; a comparing and determining; and an interlock controlling unit.
