Sensor belt and positioning aid for electro-impedance tomography imaging in neonates
A system for EIT imaging comprises an electrode array for positioning on a patient and measuring an impedance distribution, a data entry unit and a calculation unit. The electrode array contains a visual aid coupled to the electrode array for visually indicating the position of at least one electrode, the data entry module accepts an entry of data describing the position of the visual aid, and the calculation unit calculates the position of the individual electrodes relative to the patient's body and provides correction for the image creation algorithm. A sensor device for EIT imaging may comprise the electrode array, which is connectable to an EIT imaging system comprising a data entry unit and a calculation unit. An EIT imaging method may employ the system or sensor device.
MEASUREMENT DEVICE
An insulin infusion device includes a cannula for infusing insulin under the skin and an insulin infusion section for storing therein insulin to be delivered to the cannula. The insulin infusion device also includes a motion measurement section that measures the tilt angle or rotation angle of a center axis of the insulin infusion section from a neutral position thereof, or vibration applied to the insulin infusion section, to output a measured value as motion information of living activity. The insulin infusion device also includes a controlling section that controls, based on the motion information, a process of notifying a user of the timing or recommended direction of priming of the insulin infusion section.
Breath analysis device
A breath analysis device into which a user exhales a breath sample is capable of venting an initial portion of the breath sample from the device, and routing a second portion of the breath sample into a disposable cartridge containing an interactant. The device may include a sensor, such as a pressure sensor, for detecting the initiation of exhalation, and may include a controller that switches a valve during the exhalation process to route a desired portion of the breath sample into the cartridge. After the exhalation process, an LED/photodiode arrangement, or another type of optical sensor, may be used to measure a color change produced by a chemical reaction in the cartridge, to thereby measure a concentration of a ketone or other analyte in the breath sample.
MEDICAL DEVICE ALERT, OPTIMIZATION, PERSONALIZATION, AND ESCALATION
An alert is used to inform a user that their blood glucose level has dropped below a threshold (e.g., the user is hypoglycemic) or has increased above a threshold (e.g., the user is hyperglycemic). There is a hierarchy of alerts from lowest priority to highest priority. The alert is communicated by a user device (e.g., a mobile device), which is, for example, a smartphone, smart watch, home automation device, or the like. The alert is modified in order to increase the likelihood that the user receives or acknowledges the alert within a minimal amount of time. An intensity level (e.g., a volume) of an alert is modified based on, for example, whether the user has acknowledged a previous alert. A modality or a sensory channel of an alert is changed if an initial alert does fails to elicit a response from the user.
DETERMINATION APPARATUS
A determination apparatus (500) includes an estimation unit (512) configured to estimate a cause for an error based on data used when an agitation state is determined, and a notification unit (522) configured to issue a notification according to a result of the estimation by the estimation unit (521).
SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING BLOOD PRESSURE OF A PERSON THAT UTILIZES VELOCITY AND PULSE WAVE SIGNAL INFORMATION
Systems for monitoring blood pressure of a person are disclosed. An embodiment of a system includes an interface for receiving velocity data and pulse wave data and a machine learning engine configured to apply the velocity data and the pulse wave data to a trained model, and to output an indication of the blood pressure of the person in response to the received velocity data and the received pulse wave signal.
INTELLIGENT MONITORING, INTERACTIVE, AND WIRELESS INTERNET CONNECTED MEDICATION ADHERENCE, ANALYTICS, AND DATABASE SOLUTION
Method and devices for a medication adherence platform including machine-learning analytics platform, and real-time pharmaceutical and consumer product fulfillment platform are provided. A device can comprise a sensor for sensing a medicine container or medicine, a database for storing patient related data, a computer readable medium for storing a patient treatment calendar, causing a patient's electronic device to transmit an alert based upon an event logged onto the patient treatment calendar determine medication adherence, storing data in the database, transmitting treatment-based information to the patient's device, and establishing an electronic communication channel between the patient and a healthcare professional.
Smart oscillating positive expiratory pressure device with feedback indicia
A respiratory therapy device having a diagonal feedback array, and methods for the user thereof.
Athletic performance sensing and/or tracking systems and methods
Athletic performance sensing and/or tracking systems include components for measuring or sensing athletic performance data and/or for storing and/or displaying desired information associated with the athletic performance to the user (or others). Such systems can allow users a wide variety of options in creating workouts, selecting and presenting media content during the athletic performance, etc., e.g., to help keep users entertained and motivated. In some instances, user feedback may be used, optionally in combination with objective data relating to a workout, to control features of the workout routine, to control the music or other media content selected and/or presented, and/or to control features of future workout routines and/or the presented media content.
