A signaling system includes an on-board device provided for a moving vehicle traveling on a track, and a station interface device provided for a station, and a branch provided on the track. A second moving vehicle transmits different moving vehicle related data of itself to a first on-board device of a first moving vehicle. The first station interface device transmits station related data of the branch to the first on-board device. The first on-board device outputs a command which instructs to switch the branch, to the first station interface based on the different moving vehicle related data and the station related data, to secure the traveling route. The first station interface device switches the branch and secures the traveling route. The first on-board device determines the traveling of the first moving vehicle of the secured traveling route based on the different moving vehicle related data.

Automatic train stop control system

A method controls a movement of a train to a stop at a stopping position between a first position and a second position. The method determines constraints of a velocity of the train with respect to a position of the train forming a feasible area for a state of the train during the movement, such that an upper curve bounding the feasible area has a zero velocity only at the second position, and a lower curve bounding the feasible region has a zero velocity only at the first position. Next, the method controls the movement of the train subject to the constraints.

System, method, and apparatus for detecting vehicle operator conduct

A monitoring system for detecting a condition in a vehicle, including at least one imaging device having a field of view including at least a portion of an interior cabin of the vehicle occupied by an operator of the vehicle during operation, a data storage medium configured to store parameter data in a database, the parameter data including control parameter data for the interior cabin of the vehicle, and at least one processor in communication with the at least one imaging device and the data storage medium. The at least one processor is programmed or configured to receive operational image data from the at least one imaging device, generate operational parameter data from the operational image data, compare the operational parameter data to the control parameter data, and determine if at least one operator is absent from the interior cabin and/or if at least one unauthorized display device is present in the vehicle.

POSITIVE TRAIN CONTROL SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD

A positive train control may comprise a plurality of different sensors coupled to a processor that determines whether there is an anomaly of a track way, and if there is, provides an alert and/or a train control action. The plural sensors may include a visual imager, an infrared imager, a radar, a doppler radar, a laser sensor, a laser ranging device, an acoustic sensor, and/or an acoustic ranging device. Data from the plural sensors is geo-tagged and time tagged. Some embodiments of the train control employ track monitors, switch monitors and/or wayside monitors, and some employ locating devices such as GPS and inertial devices.

SAFETY MANAGEMENT METHOD OF TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION FOR MULTIMODE TRAIN CONTROL SYSTEM
20230182792 · 2023-06-15 · ·

A temporary speed restriction safe management method for a multi-mode train control system. The method comprises: step 101, issuing a temporary speed restriction setting instruction by means of a line network dispatching system; step 102, performing a validity check on a set temporary speed restriction, and setting a first mark-drawing up after the check is successful; step 103 setting a second mark-verification; step 104, feeding a verification state or verification failure of the set temporary speed restriction back to the dispatcher; step 105, an auxiliary dispatcher issuing an execution instruction for the verified temporary speed restriction; step 106, determining that the temporary speed restriction is successfully executed; step 107, feeding an execution state or execution failure of the temporary speed restriction back to the dispatcher; and step 108, sending the temporary speed restriction to a train of a corresponding system that passes through a speed restriction zone.
