Mobile carts are adapted to facilitate both storage and mobility. In at least one example, a mobile cart may include a frame with a first longitudinal end and an opposing second longitudinal end. A swing-arm assembly may be coupled to the frame to pivot between a storage mode and a cart mode, where a handle is positioned adjacent the first longitudinal end of the frame and a pair of wheels are positioned beyond the second longitudinal end of the frame when the swing-arm assembly is positioned in the storage mode, and where the handle is positioned beyond the second longitudinal end of the frame and the wheels are positioned adjacent a bed portion of the frame when the swing-arm assembly is positioned in the cart mode. The swivel mechanism includes a vertical axle, a cam follower, and a cam. The vertical axle connects with the wheel and is rotatable with respect to the stroller frame about a vertical axis. The cam follower is fixed to the vertical axle. The cam includes a sloped cam surface at least partially surrounding the vertical axle. The sloped cam surface contacts the cam follower to move the cam follower along the sloped cam surface, which results in rotation of the vertical axle about the vertical axis.

A hand truck with main wheels and a toe plate also includes a handle assembly that is mounted to the frame of the hand truck so that the handle assembly is able to rotate and slide relative to the truck frame. The hand truck may be arranged in a first upright dolly position in which the handle assembly is generally aligned with the truck frame and a second cart position in which the truck frame is generally horizontal and the handle assembly is extended and rotated so that it is upright and normal relative to the truck frame. A latch assembly mounted to the truck frame is able to releasably receive and secure the handle assembly in the first upright dolly position.

When folding the stroller, the front wheel assembly may pivot, exposing a flat surface which may be rested on the ground for easier storage of the stroller. A drive rod may drive the front wheel assembly to rotate during folding. A slider may move away from the front wheel assembly during folding, moving a rear tube into place and ultimately causing the drive rod to drive the front wheel assembly to rotate. A lock mechanism may be included to lock the frame into configuration.

The lock mechanism (60) is unlocked to release the upper support member (40) and the lower support member (50), such that the front leg (10) is able to be folded with respect to the bottom tube (30).
