A wire-based three-pole sensor for subcutaneous insertion includes a working electrode including a first split wire having a first flat surface, and a support sheet on the first flat surface. The first flat surface is created from a full wire having a circular cross-section with a portion removed. A reference electrode includes a second split wire having a second flat surface. The second flat surface is defined by a second chord across a circular cross-section of the second split wire. A counter electrode includes a third split wire having a third flat surface. The third flat surface is defined by a third chord across a circular cross-section of the third split wire. The second and third flat surfaces face each other. A cross-sectional diameter of the first split wire, the second split wire, and the third split wire coupled together is less than an inner diameter of an insertion needle.

COMPACT TESTING DEVICE
20230020903 · 2023-01-19 ·

A lateral flow testing device includes a main body adapted to support an element for collecting a sample. The element is supported at a distal end of the testing device and is in fluid communication with one or more testing components having an analyte detection zone for detecting one or more analytes present in said sample. The testing components produce visual information related to said sample, thereby informing the user of the outcome of a test. The device incorporates a handle reconfigurable with respect to said main body such that in a first handle configuration, the handle hinders sight of the visual information to improve privacy of the test, and in a second handle configuration, the handle facilitates the collection of said sample by increasing a distance between a proximal end of the testing device and the element.

Apparatus and methods for monitoring a sleeping subject

Apparatus and methods are described including using a sensor to monitor a sleeping subject and generate a signal in response to the monitoring. A control unit is used to accept an input indicative of a person desiring to perform an activity that is potentially disturbing to the sleep of the subject, analyze the sensor signal, in response to the analyzing, identify a time during which the activity is likely to be less disturbing to the sleep of the subject, relative to another time, and generate a notification indicating a suitability of performing the activity at the identified time. Other applications are also described.

Apparatus, method and medium for predicting and displaying a fertility window of a woman

An apparatus and method for predicting a fertility window include an image capture device and a processor. The fertility window includes a period of increased fecundability for a woman based on optical monitoring of facial features. The image capture device is configured to record images including facial features of a subject. The processor is configured to receive data corresponding to the recorded plural images; determine from the data changes in the facial features; and predict a fertility window based on the determination.

Disclosed are devices, system and methods for using wearable sensors, such as an earring configured for insertion in an artificially-created cavity in a wearer's ear, the earring including one or more sensing devices in communication with a processing device via a wireless link.

CYCLE-BASED COACHING
20230346356 · 2023-11-02 ·

Physiological parameters such as respiratory rate and/or heart rate variability can be measured over time for a user and correlated to physiological and/or hormonal cycles such as the menstrual cycle. By determining the phase of such a cycle in this manner, an automatic coach for the user can recommend phase-specific adjustments to activities such as sleep and exercise.

Vagina evaluation device and uterus evaluation device

A non-invasive and accurate vagina evaluation device and uterine evaluation devices are provided that measure the receptivity (uterine implantation capacity) of the mother's body to a fertilized egg implanting itself into the uterus. A first vagina evaluation device includes: a main body stretchable and expandable after insertion into a vagina, followed by air injection thereinto; four electrodes brought into contact with the vagina wall as the main body expands and stretches; and fixation means configured to fix the interval of arrangement of the electrodes. Second and third uterine evaluation device include: a flexible and rod-shaped main body for insertion into a uterine cavity; and four or two impedance electrodes arranged with a predetermined interval therebetween in an insertion direction of the main body and brought into contact with an endometrium of the uterine cavity to measure a uterine endometrial impedance generated between the endometrium and each of the electrodes.
