A detection device for cannabinoid use including a base unit and a display screen disposed on the base unit. A central processing unit and a tetrahydrocannabinol testing device are disposed within the base unit. A testing slot is disposed on a bottom portion of the base unit, with a back end of the testing slot disposed within the tetrahydrocannabinol testing device. Each of a plurality of testing strips is slidably and removably disposed within the testing slot. A printer has a pair of T-shaped attachment extensions. Each of the pair of attachment extensions and a universal serial bus plug disposed on the printer simultaneously removably and slidably engages each of a pair of attachment slots and a universal serial bus port disposed on the base unit, respectively. The tetrahydrocannabinol testing device is configured to analyze and calculate the presence and amount of tetrahydrocannabinol in a person's bloodstream.

A TISSUE SPECIMEN COLLECTOR FOR USE IN BIOPSY

A tissue specimen collector (8; 132), which is adapted for collecting tissue specimens during a biopsy procedure, is a multi-chamber collector having a main collector housing (58; 133) and a collector rack (59; 138) arranged lengthwise displaceable inside the main collector housing (58; 133). The collector rack (59; 138) has a series of adjacent chambers (60; 143) for accommodating tissue specimens, and said main collector housing (58; 133) has a collector port (71a; 167) adapted to connect to a supply of tissue specimens to receive tissue specimens in each consecutive chamber of the serious of adjacent chambers in the order they are resected from suspicious tissue.

Inventive embodiments disclosed herein include a sampling device. The sampling device includes a tubular main body having a length and defining a lumen, the tubular main body defining a lumen that extends the length of the tubular main body, the tubular main body having a distal end sized for insertion into a body cavity and having a proximal end defining threads; and a flexible sample container, comprising threads for engagement with the tubular main body wherein the lumen of the tubular main body is in communication with the flexible sample container when the container is engaged.

MODULAR SINGLE-USE KITS AND METHODS FOR PREPARATION OF BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL

Disclosed herein are standardized and optimized, modular single-use kits and methods for sterile or non-sterile preparation of biological material, such as cells or tissue, for immediate use, further preparation, or storage. These single-use kits and methods facilitate and improve a healthcare practitioner's ability to prepare biological material for research, diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in a convenient, consistent, repeatable, safe and effective manner.

GENETIC SAMPLE COLLECTION SYSTEMS

Biological sample collection kits are devised with physical features to enable a high performance collection system which delivers preprocessed biological matter via conventional shipping means to a testing laboratories. In particular, untrained and unskilled users deposit biological matter such as saliva or blood into a receiving vessel. By sealing the container, the user causes release of a premixed solution containing preservatives and optionally lysis reagents. In addition, a purification agent is arranged to bind to target molecules and facilitate their removal from solution. These time consuming processes occur while the sample is in transit to the testing facility such that when it arrives, it is in a preconditioned state immediately ready for execution of washing steps. Thus, the high performance containers taught herein are useful for collection biological samples and performing initial process steps on received matter—steps which are largely effected during the shipping stage of the transfer process.
