Systems are provided for integrating a deployable grip with a vehicle. The deployable grip may comprise a support coupled to a portion of a vehicle and a handle attached to the support and configured to move between a deployed position and a retracted position relative to the support upon application of a force on the handle. The handle provides a physical aid, when deployed, to an occupant of the vehicle while the occupant is entering or exiting the vehicle, is deployable when a door of the vehicle proximal to which the support is coupled to the portion of the vehicle is open, is not deployable when the door is closed.

Motor vehicle

A motor vehicle has a body with a front section, a floor structure which adjoins the front section, and a floor panel, on the two longitudinal sides of which a sill is in each case arranged. The sills run from an A pillar, adjoining the front section, of the body as far as a C pillar of the body. An inner longitudinal member is on each longitudinal side of the floor panel. A bulkhead is arranged between the front section and the floor structure. Each sill is constructed from an inner C profile and an outer C profile. The first and second profile flanges of the C profiles, arranged in an overlapping manner, are connected, in particular welded, to the inner longitudinal member.

Fiber-reinforced vehicle body

A method produces a fiber-reinforced body component for a motor vehicle. The body component has at least one opening, in particular one door opening or one window opening. The method includes at least the following steps: providing the body component; applying a reinforcing element made of fiber composite material having reinforcing fibers embedded in a matrix, in order to stiffen the body component, the matrix being in an uncured state, and the reinforcing element being applied to an opening frame of the opening, which opening frame is formed by the body component.

VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE

A vehicle body structure includes: a front pillar joined to a dash panel; a front side member extending from the dash panel toward the front of a vehicle; a side sill connected to a bottom end of the front pillar; a rear lower member connecting a rear portion of the front side member and a front portion of the side sill; and a connection member connecting at least two of the front pillar, the side sill, and the rear lower member. The connection member is integrally connected to the front pillar, the side sill, or the rear lower member to form a unitary one piece structure therewith.
