Disclosed herein is a modular deck system that utilizes a combination of a movable platform having a plurality of vertical posts with engagement members. Decks, filled with freight, can be placed onto the vertical posts at various heights at different sections of the movable platform using a conveyance vehicle. Further, the height of the vertical posts can be extended using an extension post for securing tall cargo. The decks can also be locked to the vertical posts to prevent dislodgement of the deck during transport of the movable platform.

A displacement arrangement for use in a combination dolly-pallet includes an impelling member movable between first and second positions. A linkage is pivotally connected to the impelling member. When the impelling member moves between the first and second positions, the linkage moves pivotally relative to the impelling member to an extended position.

A collapsible vehicle roof fairing includes a channel bracket attachable to a roof of the vehicle, a lower fairing connected to the channel bracket, and an upper fairing removably connected to the lower fairing, the upper fairing selectively moveable between an operating position and a collapsed position. A front decking bracket is attached to the upper fairing, the front decking bracket connectable to the channel bracket when the upper fairing is arranged in the collapsed position, and detached from the channel bracket when the upper fairing is arranged in the operating position.

A collapsible vehicle roof fairing includes a channel bracket attachable to a roof of the vehicle, a lower fairing connected to the channel bracket, and an upper fairing removably connected to the lower fairing, the upper fairing selectively moveable between an operating position and a collapsed position. A front decking bracket is attached to the upper fairing, the front decking bracket connectable to the channel bracket when the upper fairing is arranged in the collapsed position, and detached from the channel bracket when the upper fairing is arranged in the operating position.

An apparatus is for extending a vehicle bed. A tailgate is provided for lowering to provide a tailgate opening for providing access to the vehicle bed. The tailgate includes a retractable member adapted for extending vertically from the tailgate when lowered. A retractable webbing is provided for associating with the retractable member and adapted for moving to a deployed position to at least partially span the tailgate opening in a lowered condition. A ladder for use in climbing into the vehicle bed may form the retractable member, or may be provided in addition to it.
