An auxiliary dolly attachable to or integral with the rear of a primary trailer includes a first portion attachable to or integral with the primary trailer, a second portion comprising one or more axles with wheels, and a pivot point at which the first portion is coupled to and movable relative to the second portion, and further includes one or more cylinders configured to adjust the first and second portions relative to each other and apportion weight between the primary trailer and the auxiliary dolly. At least one or more booster axle groups and one or more trailer axle groups are configured to shift independently. This allows for efficient and cost-effective load balancing.

Quick connect logistics trailer
12128970 · 2024-10-29 ·

A quick connect logistics trailer used with a forked vehicle, where the trailer includes two movable fork guides to attach to the forks of the forked vehicle, a fork guide spacer to move the fork guides to accommodate different fork spacing, and a movable top platform attached by hinges to allow access to components under the top platform. The quick connect logistics trailer also includes side mounted fork pockets to lift the logistics trailer. The quick connect logistics trailer also includes two linear latches attached to the fork guides that can be attached to the forks of the vehicle, and two switchable magnets attached to each fork guide to attach the fork guides to the forks. The quick connect logistics trailer can also include a trailer clip attached to the trailer and a fork truck clip assembly attached to the forked vehicle, where the trailer clip assembly temporarily but securely attaches to the fork truck clip assembly to allow the forked vehicle to tow the logistics trailer.

Heavy-load modular vehicle
09988113 · 2018-06-05 · ·

A heavy-load modular vehicle having at least one axle, one steering, and coupling device not only can be coupled with at least one further heavy-load module and/or further transport apparatuses, but optionally also can be pulled out, particularly also telescoped. It has a central longitudinal support having at least one open face side, in which a pull-out support is guided. The metal cover sheet of the loading surface can take on the function of the upper belt of the central longitudinal support and leads to a self-supporting construction. A box-shaped lower belt counteracts twisting or torsions of the vehicle frame in the case of a trough-shaped design. A universal coupling head, particularly a bolt/tab coupling, makes it possible to couple on heavy-load modules having a different width, different tires and/or a different height, without an additional adapter.

Method for transporting a large milling machine self-propelled by ground-engaging units

In a method for transporting a large milling machine self-propelled by ground-engaging units and comprising a machine frame adjustable in height by means of lifting devices using a tractor unit with a fifth-wheel coupling for a semi-trailer couplable behind the tractor unit as seen in the direction of travel, the following steps are specified: a.) positioning the machine frame of the large milling machine for coupling the large milling machine to the fifth-wheel coupling of the tractor unit or to a trailer using the ground-engaging units and/or the lifting devices of the large milling machine, b.) coupling and supporting the machine frame on the fifth-wheel coupling of the tractor unit or on the trailer, c.) repeating steps a) and b) to establish a mechanical connection between the tractor unit and the trailer by means of coupling the tractor unit and the trailer via the machine frame of the large milling machine, d.) using, as a minimum, the machine frame of the large milling machine with the trailer as semi-trailer.
