The footboard allows the user to selectively ride on the apparatus or to manually assist the movement of the apparatus by push-kicking.

In some configurations, a carrier arm can be provided on each side of the front and rear of the rack. The carrier arms can be rotatable or otherwise adjustable with respect to the rack body.
