Bicycle head and bicycle shift control box
A bicycle head is configured to be mounted on a bicycle frame. The bicycle head includes a vertical tube, a stem, a handlebar, a first brake lever, and a shift control box. One end of the stem is mounted on the vertical tube. The handlebar is fixed to another end of the stem. The first brake lever assembly is mounted on the handlebar. The first brake lever assembly includes a main body, a brake assembly, a shift switch, and a battery. The brake assembly and the battery are disposed on the main body, and the shift switch is disposed on the brake assembly. The shift control box is disposed on one of the vertical tube, the stem, and the handlebar and electrically connected to the battery and the shift switch.
PEDAL ACTIVITY SENSOR AND METHODS OF PEDALING ANALYSIS
An apparatus for determining bicycle pedaling may include a sensor that detects the angular velocity and position of a drivetrain or rear sprocket assembly of the bicycle and a processor that is configured to compare the detected values against values indicative of at least one pedaling state. The apparatus may be configured to be housed within a component of the bicycle, such as within a hollow opening of the spindle or crank axle. The apparatus also may include a wireless transmitter to communicate with another component, such as a suspension controller.
COGNITIVE STABILIZER WHEELS FOR VEHICLES
An embodiment of the invention provides a method and system including a sensor on a vehicle and a processor connected to the sensor. The processor determines a probability of falling based on input from the sensor, whether the probability of falling exceeds a threshold, and a state of an operator of the vehicle. An actuator connected to the processor receives a signal from the processor when the probability of falling exceeds the threshold and when the state of the operator includes an impaired state. Stabilizer wheels are connected to the actuator, where the signal includes a command to deploy the stabilizer wheels.
BICYCLE DRIVE SYSTEM, BICYCLE DRIVE UNIT, AND BICYCLE BATTERY UNIT
A bicycle battery unit is configured to supply power to a bicycle component. The bicycle battery unit includes a housing, a battery, a first electrical connector, a second electrical connector and a power line communication circuit. The battery is accommodated in the housing. The first electrical connector is provided to the housing so as to be at least partially exposed out of the housing being electrically connectable with the battery. The second electrical connector is provided to the housing so as to be at least partially exposed out of the housing separate from the first electrical connector. The power line communication circuit is electrically connected to the second electrical connector and configured to perform power line communication via the second electrical connector.
THREE-WHEELED TILTING VEHICLE
A tiltable vehicle has a pair of front wheels coupled to a tiltable chassis by a tilt linkage, such that the pair of front wheels and the chassis are configured to tilt in unison with respect to a roll axis of the chassis. The tilt linkage includes a four-bar linkage having a pair of upper bar segments coupled to the chassis at spaced-apart respective inboard joints. In some examples, the inboard joints of the upper bar segments are each disposed outboard of a central chassis joint of a lower bar of the tilt linkage. An orientation sensor is configured to detect directional information regarding a net force vector applied to the chassis, and a tilt actuator operatively coupled to the chassis and configured to selectively tilt the chassis. A controller is configured to selectively control the tilt actuator based on the directional information from the orientation sensor.
Suspension device and recording medium
A suspension device includes: a damping device that damps a force generated between a vehicle body and a wheel of a vehicle; a determination unit that determines whether the vehicle is jumping, using an acceleration of the vehicle in a front-rear direction, an acceleration of the vehicle in a left-right direction, and an acceleration of the vehicle in a vertical direction; and a damping force control unit that increases a damping force of the damping device so as to be greater than the damping force generated when the determination unit does not determine that the vehicle is jumping, when the determination unit determines that the vehicle is jumping.

Bicycle saddle with spring-based vibration isolation
A vibration isolator can be configured to provide improved vibration isolation performance, such as in connection with a bicycle saddle. The bicycle saddle can be operatively connected to a bicycle frame. The vibration isolator can be located within a portion of the bicycle frame. The vibration isolator can be operatively positioned with respect to the bicycle saddle. The vibration isolator being configured to exhibit a non-linear stiffness profile. The non-linear stiffness profile can include a region of quasi-zero stiffness. The vibration isolator including a plurality of spring members arranged in a stack.
