Electric scooter lighting for improved conspicuity
11498478 · 2022-11-15 · ·

An electric scooter with a lighting system that includes a rear mounted light that projects light upward and toward the front of the scooter to illuminate the back of a rider, and side lights that project light to illuminate the sides of a scooter. The lighting system employs a multi-faceted approach to vary intensity and effects for improved visibility in traffic. The light system can be configured to automatically illuminate or change effects in response to road or environmental conditions, or in response to existing or future roadway infrastructure such as autonomous traffic infrastructure or adaptive traffic control systems. The light system may also be integrated with the braking system for signaling a slow down or stop. The system may be controlled by communication between an onboard processor and a personal computing device such as a smart phone that can be docked on the scooter and provide display of information and a means of input.

BRAKE UNIT FOR A VEHICLE WHEEL MODULE COMPRISING THE BRAKE UNIT, AND VEHICLE COMPRISING THE BRAKE UNIT AND/OR THE WHEEL MODULE

In human-powered vehicles, e.g., bicycles, etc., it is customary to use drum brakes, disc brakes or shoe brakes. Each of the braking systems has different advantages in terms of braking effect, system costs, ease of maintenance, etc. A brake unit with a modified structure for a vehicle is provided. For this purpose, a brake unit 14 for a vehicle 1 is disclosed, having a housing 15, having a brake body device 23, wherein the brake body device 23 supports a stationary brake partner of a brake apparatus 12 for the vehicle 1, wherein the housing 15 and/or the brake body device 23 defines a main axis H, having an actuator for moving the brake body device relative to the housing 15 in order to generate a braking force, wherein the stationary brake partner is formed as a brake disc 13.

Shock absorber structure and mobility device including same

A shock absorber includes a stationary part; a steering part extending in a longitudinal direction and rotatably coupled to the stationary part by a rotation axis in the longitudinal direction; a sliding part which forms an internal space containing fluid between the steering part and slidably coupled to the steering part in a direction in which the steering part extends; an elastic body having both ends respectively coupled to the steering part and the sliding part to support the steering part and the sliding part and maintain the internal space between the steering part and the sliding part; a flow path formed in the sliding part and configured to communicate the internal space between the steering part and the sliding part to outside so that the fluid can flow; and a steered driving wheel slidably connected to the sliding part.

AR BASED PERFORMANCE MODULATION OF A PERSONAL MOBILITY SYSTEM

A method of controlling a personal mobility system includes displaying a virtual object on an augmented reality wearable device, the virtual object being located in a position in the field of view of the augmented reality device corresponding to a position in the real world. Proximity of the personal mobility system or a user of the personal mobility system with the position in the real world is detected. In response to the detection of proximity, a performance characteristic of the personal mobility system is modified.
