Vehicle having a swivel wheel
10479432 · 2019-11-19 · ·

A tricycle may be operable between a first mode of operation steerable by a tricycle rider, and a second mode of operation steerable by an individual pushing the tricycle. A rider handle, in the first mode, may be configured to be rotationally coupled with the stem in a manner permitting a tricycle rider to exert forces on the rider handle and thereby turn the fork, and the rider handle in the second mode, being configured to be rotationally uncoupled from the stem, preventing forces on the rider handle from turning the fork. At least one rotation restricted may be included for preventing the front wheel from turning to a position where the front wheel axis leads the fork axis, and for maintaining the front wheel axis in a position trailing the fork axis both when the tricycle is propelled by a tricycle rider in the first mode and when the tricycle is pushed from behind in the second mode.

Stop for handlebars of two- and three-wheeled vehicles and method for manufacturing such a stop
11981390 · 2024-05-14 · ·

A stop for handlebars of two-wheeled vehicles is integrated into the control head bearing of the vehicle. It is formed by a first component installed in the control head bearing with a circular arc-shaped groove that is arranged coaxially to the rotational axis of the control head bearing and a stop element protruding into this groove. The stop element is arranged on a second component that can be moved relative to the first part. The stop at the lower control head bearing is arranged within the head tube. The circular arc-shaped groove is arranged in the base and open towards the lower bearing shell. The lower bearing shell comprises an open recess extending over its height to the lower rolling bearing, which receives a stop element. The stop element has a radial lug protruding into the circular groove of the base.

VEHICLE ADJUSTMENT

Disclosed is a vehicle comprising a frame component having an adjustable physical property; and a controller configured to receive data relating to the vehicle in use and, based on received data, determine a value of the physical property of the frame component. A method, a computer program and a control system are also disclosed.

VEHICLE

A vehicle includes a main body, a steerable wheel, a steering, a steering actuator, and an electronic controller. The main body includes a saddle. The steerable wheel is coupled to the main body via a suspension. The steering is turnably coupled to the main body to steer the steerable wheel. The steering actuator is configured to apply steering torque to the steerable wheel. The electronic controller is configured to control the steering torque using the steering actuator and configured to generate steering damper torque to the steerable wheel using the steering actuator upon determining a reduced contact of the steerable wheel with a traveling surface with respect to a first prescribed threshold.

Multi positional rotary steering damper assembly

Tilt-decoupled steering device of a motorbike

A tilt-decoupled steering device of a motorbike includes a handlebar bridge which receives a handlebar, a fork bridge which receives a fork leg, and a decoupling element connecting the handlebar bridge to the fork bridge. The handlebar bridge (11) is rotatable about a steering axis and is secured about a tilt axis orthogonal to the steering axis. The fork bridge is rotatable about the steering axis and about the tilt axis. The decoupling element is elastic and is designed to transfer a steering movement in a steering direction about the steering axis from the handlebar bridge to the fork bridge, and to compensate for a tilting movement in a tilting direction about the tilt axis of the fork bridge relative to the handlebar bridge via elastic deformation.
