SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ROTATIONAL CONTROL OF A TROLLING MOTOR
20210284310 · 2021-09-16 ·

Trolling motor assemblies and related methods of operation. A method includes providing an assembly comprising a main housing; a shaft rotatably coupled with the main housing, the shaft having a longitudinal axis; a gear coupled with the shaft; a plate rotatably coupled with one of the shaft and the main housing; and a projecting rib coupled with the other of the shaft and the main housing. The plate is rotated through a first angular displacement about the longitudinal axis. The gear is rotated through a second angular displacement about the longitudinal axis that is greater than the first angular displacement.

A fishing rod storage system within a cabin of a boat includes plural holes in the floor of a cabin of a boat arranged to receive and support the handle of a fishing rod in each hole. A retractable shelf is mounted on a cabinet above and adjacent the plural holes. The shelf has cutout sections corresponding in number to the plurality of holes. The cutout sections are aligned respectively with the holes for receiving a section of a fishing rod therein. A securing line is used to retain the fishing rods in the cutout sections.

SHARK REPELLENT SYSTEM

A system for repelling sharks is disclosed. Magnets are connected to a rod along its length. If necessary, the rod may be extended. Additionally, one or more flotation devices may be connected to the rod to manipulate or adjust the buoyancy of the system, depending on the user's objective(s). The rod is connected to a fishing line once a fish is hooked and is in close proximity to the boat or other structure from which the fisherman is fishing. The weight of the rod and magnets cause the rod to slide down to the end of the fishing line, where the rod will come in contact with the hooked mouth of the fish. As the fish struggles during the fight, the rod creates a protective magnetic field around the fish to deter sharks from engaging the fish.

POSTURE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HULL AND MARINE VESSEL
20210129954 · 2021-05-06 ·

A posture control system for a hull, and a marine vessel including the posture control system, allows crew members to fish more comfortably and includes a posture control tab attached to a stern of the hull to control a posture of the hull, a driver to drive the posture control tab, and a controller to control the driver. When it is determined that the hull has changed to a fishing mode, the controller causes the driver to raise the posture control tab to a predetermined position.

Sidewall suspended boat cooler

This non-provisional application is a continuation-in-part application filed under 37 CFR 1.53(b) that claims the benefit of United States 35 USC 120 from non-provisional application U.S. Ser. No. 16/174,357 filed on Oct. 30, 2018, by the inventor: Danny Street. The sidewall-suspended boat cooler replaces the U-shaped space of the prior disclosure with a telescopic hook. Specifically, the rear wall overhang extension is removed and replaced by the telescopic hook. The telescopic hook catches on the sidewall of the vessel such that the telescopic hook combines with both: a) the superior horizontal surface of the prior disclosure; and, b) the vertical transfer surface of the prior disclosure to form a mechanical U-shaped structure in which the sidewall of the vessel inserts. The form factor of the telescopic structure is adjustable such that the mechanical U-shaped structure can adjust to accommodate variations in the form factor of the sidewall of the vessel.

OUTRIGGER FOR A BOAT
20210061418 · 2021-03-04 ·

An outrigger for holding an object on a boat is described. The outrigger includes a mounting cylinder for attaching the outrigger to a boat, a hub having a first gear set, where the hub is adapted to be placed in one end of the mounting cylinder. The outrigger further includes an arm for holding an object. The arm is adapted to be inserted into the other end of the mounting cylinder and has a second gear set for locking with the first gear set in the hub. The arm can be rotated with respect to the mounting cylinder by pulling the arm outward from the mounting cylinder, rotating the arm with respect to the mounting cylinder, and reengaging it with the first gear set in the hub.

Boat chair configured for coversion between multiple use and storage positions, a freestanding stand for a boat chair, a combination boat chair and boat, and/or a method of use thereof

A boat chair configured such that it may be converted between several storage and/or use configurations and may be detachably affixed to and removed from a boat or placed on a boat using a free-standing stand. The boat chair may be configured such that the boat chair may be used in multiple use positions and may be transitioned into one or more storage configurations to allow for the boat chair to be more easily transported and/or stored. The boat chair may further be configured such that the use configurations may allow for customized position and/or use of the boat chair on a boat, including use of a free-standing stand for the boat chair.

Waterfowl capturing assembly and system

A waterfowl capturing assembly and system includes a bracket is removably attachable to a watercraft. A frame is attached to the bracket and extends forwardly therefrom. The frame includes a receiving space having a receiving opening directed forward of the base. A panel is positioned on the frame and forms a scoop extending across the receiving space. The panel is used to capture and hold waterfowl floating on a body of water such that the watercraft can be used to retrieve the waterfowl.

Portable watercraft
