METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR HANDLING A CATCH OF FISH IN A FISHING VESSEL
This publication relates to a system and a method for hauling fish gear, such as longlines, gillnets or demersal seine nets, into a fishing vessel (10) and collecting and transporting catch (12) to a working station, using a hatch (16) in a part of a hull exposed to the sea and arranged in a water line region (27) of the vessel (10); a vertical well (18) for receipt of at least a part of the catch through the hatch (16); a transport device for transporting the catch to the deck; and with means for bringing the catch to flow towards the transport device. The transport device (24,25) used is arranged in a shaft (19), separated from the well (18), and a closable opening or hatch (23) is arranged in a wall or bulkhead (21) between the well (18) and the shaft (19) and with a devices for opening and closing the opening or hatch (23), a bottom (22) in the shaft (19) arranged at a lower level than the lower end of the closable opening or hatch (23) and a water level in the well (18); and a device for reducing the water level in the shaft (19).

BOAT FISHING DEVICES
A fishing system for fishing in a center console or smaller fishing boat in the big or rough seas is provided. The fishing system may include a teaser rigger mounted to the fishing boat, wherein a teaser release line is received through at least two pulleys and operatively associating a teaser to a boom. The fishing system may separately or in combination include a leader saver connected to a fishing rod in the fishing boat. The fishing system may separately or in combination include a non-skid material of fighting chair frictionally engaging a flat surface provided in the fishing boat.
Large Outboard Motor for Marine Vessel Application and Related Methods of Making and Operating Same
An outboard motor for a marine vessel application, and related methods of making and operating same, are disclosed herein. In at least one embodiment, the outboard motor includes a horizontal-crankshaft engine in an upper portion of the outboard motor, positioned substantially positioned above a trimming axis of the outboard motor. In at least another embodiment, first, second and third transmission devices are employed to transmit rotational power from the engine to one or more propellers at a lower portion of the outboard motor. In at least a further embodiment, the outboard motor is made to include a rigid interior assembly formed by the engine, multiple transmission devices, and a further structural component. In further embodiments, the outboard motor includes numerous cooling, exhaust, and/or oil system components, as well as other transmission features.
