ACTIVE AND PASSIVE SAIL FOR IMPROVED COMMUNICATION NETWORKING AT SEA
Provided is a radar and communications enhanced sail for a sailboat, sail ship, or sail drone. The sail includes a first sail section comprising an active communication system, a second sail section comprising a passive communication system, or a combination thereof. The active communication system includes an antenna array (transceiver) and a software-defined radio (SDR), while the passive communication system comprises a reflective panel or sections and/or array of reflector panels or sections. The active system utilizes its SDR and transceiver to communicate back and forth with an onshore SDR and transceiver to provide information as necessary. The passive system receives a radar signal via the reflective material on the sail and reflects the signal back at the radar, which produces a radar cross section indicating that there is an object (in this case the sailboat) in the ocean.
Bracket for mounting a thruster to a boat
A bracket for mounting a thruster to a boat includes a horizontal portion, a vertical portion that provides a vertical surface that matches an angle of the vessel transom, generally. The horizontal portion includes an enclosure. The vertical portion forms a transom-facing surface in a plane that is generally at a right angle relative to a horizontal plane, within a small range of angles. The transom-facing surface can angled to match the angle of the transom of a boat to which the thruster bracket is mounted. A thruster is mounted to the thruster bracket on a rotatable thruster mount that allows the thruster to be rotated in a generally horizontal plane relative to the bracket and the vessel to facilitate low speed maneuvering.
MARINE RETROFITTED ILLUMINATED DASH PANEL COVER
Embodiments of the invention relate to marine retrofitted illuminated dash panel cover having a light controller and one or more light sources that is installed and retrofitted onto an existing boat dash panel, where the light source and light cover panel are aftermarket retrofitted components to the existing boat dash panel.

Bracket for mounting a thruster to a boat
A bracket for mounting a thruster to a boat includes a horizontal neck portion, an upper mounting support portion, a support plate portion that extends downward from the upper mounting support portion, and an enclosure portion. The support plate portion and the rear of the upper mounting support portion form a transom-facing surface in a plane that is at a non-right angle relative to a horizontal plane. The transom-facing surface is angled such that the bottom of the support plate portion is further to the rear of the thruster bracket than the top of the upper mounting support portion in order to match the angle of the transom of a boat to which the thruster bracket is mounted. A thruster is mounted to the thruster bracket at a level where the thruster will be out of the water when the boat is moving fast and up on plane, and will be in the water when the boat is moving very slow.
NAVIGATIONAL RUNNING LIGHT RETROFIT SYSTEM
Navigational running light retrofit system comprises a position tube that is inserted into a U.S. Naval specified navigational running light fixture and is further positioned, aligned and sealed using existing elements of the navigational running light fixture being retrofit. The positioning tube, having a generally tubular form, is a receiver for a commercially available LED navigational running light having cylindrical form. LED navigational running light is modified to secure a plate to the top surface of the assembly. This stabilizer plate has a similar diameter to the inner housing of the navigational running light fixture being retrofit, whereby stabilizing the retrofit system assembly when subjected to extreme mechanical shock. The positioning elements of the navigational running light retrofit system cooperate with the elements of the navigational running light fixture being retrofit to align and maintain alignment of the light exiting the fixture at the direction and angle.
