A novel emissions control watercraft (STAXcraft) solving a long-felt but unsolved need regarding disadvantages associated with prior-art emissions servicing watercraft, the disadvantages selected from the group, but not limited to, the use of tugboats, securing or mooring servicing watercraft to a serviced vessel, additional expenses and time-delays and inefficiencies of land-based approaches, increased toxic emissions, increased greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions, danger from falling cargo, tanker safety, alongside mooring in narrow channels preventing other OGV's to pass safely, and cargo tank emissions.

ASSEMBLY AND MOUNTING OF SOLAR CELLS ON A SUPPOR

A method of a solar cell array arranged on the surface of a support by providing and utilizing an assembly fixture having a smooth, concave surface. An uncured supporting film composed of a composite material (such as a carbon fiber composite) is mounted directly on the back side of the solar cells; and the film of composite material is co-cured on the assembly fixture so that the array of interconnected solar cells is bonded to the supporting film. The bonded and cured film of composite material and an array of interconnected solar cells is then removed from the assembly fixture.

SELF-RIGHTING TRIMARAN

A trimaran which includes a self-righting structure positioned near the stern that substantially raises the center of buoyancy. The trimarans two peripheral hulls are shorter than the main hull and positioned near the one end to create an unstable inverted environment wherein when inverted the vessel rests primarily on the self-righting structure and an end of the main hull, substantially raising the center of gravity and creating an unstable configuration. This causes a pitch or roll about the vessel's longitudinal axis, which continues until the vessel has returned to its more stable upright position resting on three hulls.

SELF-POWERED TROLLING MOTOR DEVICE

A self-powered trolling motor device including a shaft member including a motor element and a propeller element attached to the shaft member at a distal end and including at least one rechargeable battery and a control cover attached to the shaft member at a proximate end, the rechargeable battery having affixed thereto a plurality of solar panels on all sides of the battery, wherein the rechargeable battery and the affixed solar panels collectively form a self-powered unit for powering the device.

Assembly and mounting of solar cells on airfoils

A method of fabricating an airfoil, and the airfoil or airfoil skin so fabricated, including a solar cell array arranged on the surface of the airfoil by providing and utilizing an assembly fixture having a smooth, concave surface.

The present invention provides a solar panel float in which an increase in the number of components is prevented and which is easy to assemble. A float for mounting a solar panel is provided with: an annular float portion; a first support portion that supports an edge on one side of the solar panel; and a second support portion that supports an edge on the other side of the solar panel. The first support portion includes a first support plate portion rising from a wall surface on one side of an inner periphery of the annular float portion. The first support plate portion is formed of a cut-and-raised piece that has been cut and raised, from a flat plate portion integrally formed so as to close the inner periphery during molding of the annular float portion, using a lower-side portion of the flat plate portion as a bending-fulcrum point.
