SKIN CARE APPARATUS USING PLASMA AND NEAR INFRARED RAY
20180008333 · 2018-01-11 ·

An exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to providing a skin care apparatus using plasma and near-infrared ray designed to provide effects of improving skin and lifting by irradiating plasma and near-infrared ray generated through dual electric generation on skin contacted by a spherical form. Further, the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosures are directed to providing a skin care apparatus using plasma and near-infrared ray that prevents skin contact or dual irradiation, which were used to happen in the conventional side contact structure, with the method of irradiating plasma and near-infrared ray by using dielectric barrier discharge for each of the plasma discharge groove and near-infrared irradiation groove that are different from the conventional contact structure, through a spot contact spherical body structure.

Cell population analysis

A method of analysis using mass spectrometry and/or ion mobility spectrometry is disclosed comprising: (a) using a first device to generate smoke, aerosol or vapour from a target in vitro or ex vivo cell population; (b) mass analysing and/or ion mobility analysing said smoke, aerosol or vapour, or ions derived therefrom, in order to obtain spectrometric data; and (c) analysing said spectrometric data in order to identify and/or characterise said target cell population or one or more cells and/or compounds present in said target cell population.

Method And System For Ultrasound Induced Hyperthermia With Microwave Thermometry Feedback
20230233879 · 2023-07-27 ·

A device for providing hyperthermia treatment includes an ultrasound energy generator configured to apply low intensity ultrasound to target tissue. The low intensity ultrasound energy induces therapeutic heating in the tissue at or below the surface of the skin. In order to control the temperature of the tissue during therapy, a microwave radiometer, such as a Dicke radiometer, can be used to measure the temperature of the tissue and feed back the temperature measurement to the ultrasound energy generator to control ultrasonic energy produced and control the temperature of the target tissue.

A system for controlling ablation treatment and visualization is disclosed where the system comprises a tissue ablation instrument having one or more deployable stylets and a first electromagnetic sensor and an ultrasound imaging instrument which may be configured to generate an ultrasound imaging plane and further having a second electromagnetic sensor. An electromagnetic field generator may also be included which is configured for placement in proximity to a patient body and which is further configured to generate an output indicative of a position the first and second electromagnetic sensors relative to one another. Also included is a console in communication with the ablation instrument, ultrasound imaging instrument, and electromagnetic field generator, wherein the console is configured to generate a representative image of the tissue ablation instrument oriented relative to the ultrasound imaging plane and an ablation border or cage based upon a deployment position of the one or more stylets.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TATTOO REMOVAL USING COLD PLASMA

A method and system for tattoo removal from a subject by exposing tattoo ink particles trapped within the dermis to a cold plasma is described herein. The tattoo removal method and system can be used to remove the tattoo from the skin of the subject being treated. In addition, the method and system described allows for the extraction of the tattoo ink particles, which may have toxic properties, from the subject's body.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING TISSUE TIGHTNESS AND PERFORMING SUBDERMAL COAGULATION TO INCREASE TISSUE TIGHTNESS

The present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods for subdermal tissue tightening through soft tissue coagulation and for use in cosmetic surgery applications. The devices, systems and methods of the present disclosure may be used for a minimally invasive application of plasma energy to subcutaneous tissue for the purpose of tightening lax tissue. The present disclosure further provides tissue tightness measurement devices, systems and methods, which are used to determine the tightness of tissue. The measurements obtained by the tissue tightness measurement devices and/or systems are used to determine when a desired tissue tightness has been achieved during a tissue tightening procedure.

SURGICAL PERFORATION BETWEEN THE AORTA AND LEFT ATRIUM

Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for the perforation of a communication between the aorta and left atrium. The method includes introducing the apparatus, positioning the apparatus at a location along the aorta, and energizing the apparatus to create a perforation. For example, one method may include: introducing a flexible wire into the left atrium, advancing a dilator along the flexible wire to position the flexible wire adjacent a selected location along the aorta and energizing the flexible wire to create a perforation from the left atrium into the aorta.
