Boat steering and propulsion system

Techniques are disclosed to enable a system for controlling the propulsion and steering of a boat by a boat operator. The boat has at least one propulsion and steering motor assembly connected to the boat with a propeller, and a propulsion motor. It also has left and right pivoting pedals to provide a signal that controls the angle of the propeller so that if the left pedal is pivoted in a first pivot direction by a first percentage and the right pedal is pivoted in a second pivot direction by a second percentage, the boat executes a turn, moves forward, or moves in reverse.

PROPULSION DEVICES HAVING ELECTRIC MOTORS FOR MARINE VESSELS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME

A propulsion device for rotating a propulsor to propel a marine vessel. The propulsion device includes a drive housing having a cavity that extends along a first central axis. A motor is positioned within the cavity. The motor rotates a shaft extending along a second central axis that is non-coaxial with the first central axis. The shaft is configured to rotate the propulsor to propel the marine vessel.

Ship propulsion system and ship

A ship propulsion system provides a first power transmission device that transmits power from an internal combustion engine to a propeller, a second power transmission device that transmits power from an electric motor to a propeller and that is mounted to the hull so as to be able to turn up and down independently from the first power transmission device, an actuator for causing the second power transmission device to turn up and down, and a control device. The control device is configured so as to be able to select a first drive mode in which the internal combustion engine is driven and the electric motor is not driven, and a second drive mode in which the internal combustion engine is not driven and the electric motor is driven. When the first drive mode is selected, the actuator is operated so that the second power transmission device turns up.

MARINE DEVICE POSITION ADJUSTMENT ASSEMBLY

A marine device assembly, such including a trolling motor and/or at least one sonar transducer, is provided for attachment to a watercraft. The trolling motor and/or sonar transducer is attached at an end of a shaft. The marine device assembly includes a position adjustment assembly comprising a plurality of rotatable drums surrounding the shaft that are configured to adjust the rotational and/or vertical position of the trolling motor and/or sonar transducer(s) in accordance with a position adjustment command. In various aspects, the drums are configured to independently rotate about the shaft in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction so as to cause the trolling motor and/or sonar transducer(s) to rotate about the central axis of the shaft and/or translate along the central axis of the shaft.

DRIVE FOR A BOAT, DRIVE SYSTEM FOR A BOAT, BOAT

The invention relates to a drive (10) for a boat as an additional drive or alternative drive to a main drive (20), which is provided with a cavitation plate (24). The drive (10) in this case comprises an electric motor (8) and is designed in such a manner that it can easily be fastened to the main drive. The drive (10) is configured to be fastened to the cavitation plate such that after assembly it does not project rearwards beyond the cavitation plate (24) of the main drive (20).

Marine propulsion device and methods of making marine propulsion device having impact protection

A propulsion device for a marine vessel. A base is configured to be coupled to the marine vessel. A shaft includes an upper segment and a lower segment each extending along a length axis, wherein the upper segment is coupled to the base. A propulsor is coupled to the lower segment, where the propulsor is configured to propel the marine vessel in water. A shock absorber includes a resilient member that resiliently couples the upper segment and the lower segment together, where the resilient member dampens impact forces received at the lower segment and reduces transfer of the impact forces to the upper segment.
