COWL NECK BARRIER GOWN WITH ATTACHMENTS
20230293917 · 2023-09-21 ·

This invention offers a fully protective cowl neck garment with various fasteners designed to attach additional protective gear, such as gloves and shoe coverings. Additionally, a temperature sensor shield is located on the hat and protective mask. This allows the clients or patients the ability to see and to monitor the temperature of their caregivers. The caregiver’s temperature is visible on the hat, as well as the face mask. This makes the caregivers accountable to their clients or patients, as well as their colleagues and coworkers. This invention eliminates the worry of contact with infectious diseases or dangerous liquids, by utilizing elastic manual ties and hook-and-loop fasteners to ensure the garment is secured fully on a user’s body. Overall, this invention ensures medical professionals, firemen, emergency medical personnel, government workers, and so forth, are protected fully from contagious and infectious diseases, liquids, and so forth.

Noninvasive method and apparatus for peripheral assessment of vascular health

The technology relates to medical devices for monitoring and assessing vascular health. In one embodiment, the technology is an apparatus that attaches to a subject's finger comprising a heating and cooling component, a coherent source, a temperature sensor, an image detector, and/or a component for data control and management. In another embodiment, there is a component that alters local blood flow in the subject, and laser speckle contrast and photoplethysmography (PPG) signals from the altered blood flow in the subject are compared to monitor the vascular health of the subject.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSESSING INFANT AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT VIA EYE TRACKING

Systems, devices, and methods are described for assessing the risk of developmental, cognitive, social, or mental abilities or disabilities in very young patients (e.g., in the first 2-6 months of life). Generally, the decline in visual fixation of a subject over time with respect to certain dynamic stimuli provides a marker of possible abilities or disabilities (such as ASD). The visual fixation of the subject is identified, monitored, and tracked over time through repeated eye tracking sessions, and data relating to the visual fixation is then analyzed to determine a possible increased risk certain conditions in the subject. A change in visual fixation as compared to similar visual fixation data of typically-developing subjects or to a subject's own, prior visual fixation data provides an indication of a developmental, cognitive, or mental ability or disability.

FINGERPRINT CAPTURE SYSTEM, FINGERPRINT CAPTURE DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, FINGERPRINT CAPTURE METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

A fingerprint capture system, a fingerprint capture device, an image processing apparatus, a fingerprint capture method, and a storage medium that can acquire a high quality fingerprint image are provided. A disclosed example includes: a capture unit that captures a fingerprint; an image processing unit that processes a transferred fingerprint image captured by the capture unit; a display unit on which the fingerprint image transferred to the image processing unit is displayed; a recording unit where the fingerprint image transferred to the image processing unit is recorded by the image processing unit; and an instruction unit that inputs, in the image processing unit, a record instruction that instructs the image processing unit to record the fingerprint image in the recording unit. The image processing unit records, in the recording unit, the fingerprint image displayed on the display unit at the time the record instruction is input by the instruction unit.

Hospitals are stressful environments where injured and diseased persons receive healing or palliative care. Machine devices are used to monitor individual's health status and often deliver treatment. Treatment may be delivered with a goal of allowing the individual to live a relatively normal life outside the hospital, but treatments may be delivered with a goal of increasing an individual's comfort including reduction of hospital induced stress. Hospitals generally have specialized units, e.g., trauma, maternity, neonatal, pediatric, intensive car, surgery, medical, rehabilitation, neurologic, oncologic, etc. Many units may be sub-specialized, e.g., pediatric oncology, gynecologic surgery, orthopedic surgery, etc. Many units will have associated intensive care units where the more seriously ill individuals receive specialized care including intensive monitoring and varying degrees of pharmacologic and/or mechanical life or organ support.

Method and system for unattended child detection

A radar sensor system and method for ascertaining whether an unattended child is present within an automotive vehicle. The radar sensor system carries out the method and includes a transmitter, at least one sensor, and processing circuitry. The method includes the steps of: illuminating at least one occupiable position within the vehicle with radiation of multiple frequencies; generating radar sensor signals from reflections of the transmitted radiation, a plurality of the radar sensor signals corresponding to different frequencies; and operating the processing circuitry for generating and determining if a first indicator value indicative of motion in the occupiable position satisfies a first predetermined criteria and, if so, generating and determining a second indicator value indicating a degree of repetitive pattern within the radar sensor signals, and determining presence of an unattended child in the vehicle if the second indicator value satisfies a second predetermined criteria.

Visual contrast sensitivity cards for pediatric subjects

A visual stimulus for a set of contrast cards is provided which comprises a hollow outer circle, opposing and identical first and second arc segment within the outer circle which are symmetrical about the vertical diameter of the outer circle, a first filled-in circle and a second filled-in circle being identical in diameter to the first filled-in circle, each residing on opposite ends of the horizontal diameter of the outer circle and each being equidistant from the center of the outer circle, a filled-in center element having a rotational center on the center of the outer circle, the center element being symmetrical about both the horizontal and vertical diameter of the outer circle.

A nursing assistance device includes: a biological information acquisition unit that acquires biological information of an infant/toddler; a biological information estimation unit that, by using the biological information in a first period as acquired by the biological information acquisition unit and reference information based on the biological information of a plurality of infants/toddlers, estimates the biological information in a second period different from the first period; and an assessment unit that assesses an emotional abnormality in the infant/toddler in the second period on the basis of a comparison between the biological information in the second period as acquired by the biological information acquisition unit and the biological information as estimated by the biological information estimation unit.

Systems And Methods For Monitoring A Person's Position

A system for monitoring a person may include a person-worn sensor device including at least one sensor (e.g., at least one accelerometer, magnetometer, altimeter, etc.) configured to collect sensor data and a processor to process data from the person-worn sensor device. The processor may be configured to determine or access an orientation of a physical support apparatus (e.g., bed, table, wheelchair, chair, sofa, or other structure for supporting the person), receive sensor data collected by the person-worn sensor device, calculate an orientation of the person relative to the physical support apparatus based on (a) the orientation of the physical support apparatus and (b) the sensor data collected by the person-worn sensor device, and identify, based on the determined orientation of the person relative to the physical support apparatus, a physical support apparatus exit condition indicating an occurrence or anticipated occurrence of the person exiting the physical support apparatus.
