Apparatus and method for aseptically filling pharmaceutical containers with a pharmaceutical fluid using rotary stage
Systems and methods for aseptically filling pharmaceutical containers with pharmaceutical fluid are disclosed. In one general aspect, these are based on an aseptically sealable chamber that includes a transfer wall to which pre-sealed pharmaceutical source and receiving containers are mounted aseptically. A robotic arm and a syringe store are disposed within the chamber along with a sterilizing facility for establishing in the chamber an aseptic condition. The robotic arm can grip and operate syringes to inject and/or extract pharmaceutical products from the containers by piercing their closures with the needles of the syringes.
SYSTEM FOR FILLING CONTAINERS WITH MEDICAL FLUIDS
Container filling systems are described herein. A container filling system includes a container assembly, a nozzle, a first roller and a second roller. The container assembly includes a plurality of containers, each having a container volume and a fluid manifold defining a fluid pathway, wherein the fluid pathway is in fluid communication with the container volume of each of the plurality of containers. The nozzle is in fluid communication with the fluid pathway, wherein the nozzle directs flow from a fluid source into the fluid pathway. The nozzle separates the fluid manifold into a first portion and a second portion to permit the fluid manifold to advance relative to the nozzle.
Closing a chamber of a container for a pharmaceutical product
A device for closing a chamber of a container having an opening for accessing the chamber comprises a plunger, a plunger seat, a container carrier and a spacer. The plunger seat releasably holds the plunger in a predefined alignment. The container carrier is arranged to be connected to the container in a predefined position and alignment in relation to the opening of the container. The spacer is arranged to position and align the plunger seat adjacent to and distant from the container carrier such that the opening of the container is open when the container is connected to the container carrier.
Method for filling a medical packaging, filling device, and medical packaging formed as a pouch
The invention relates to a method and to a device for filling a medical packaging formed as a pouch. Preferably, the packaging is filled with liquid via a port, wherein the port is aerated with a protective gas, such as nitrogen, for example, during filling According to the invention, prior to filling with liquid, the packaging is filled with an inert gas, such as nitrogen, for example, which then provides the headspace of the filled and closed pouch. This results in a particularly low oxygen content in the headspace of the pouch.
FLUID DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WITH SINGLE USE MANIFOLD FLUID RECOVERY ASSEMBLY
A fluid distribution system includes single use distributor manifolds each having a distributor manifold inlet and a plurality of distributor manifold outlets in fluid communication with the distributor manifold inlet. A set of single use filler manifolds can be sequentially connected to a respective one of the outlets of a single use distributor manifold immediately upstream of the connection point of the set of single use filler manifolds. In embodiments, an upstream distributor manifold can be used to feed fluid to a set of intermediary distributor manifolds where the set of intermediary distributor manifolds corresponds to the number of outlets of the upstream distributor manifold.
FLUID DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WITH SINGLE USE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY FOR SCALED FILLING
Pharmacy order processing system container sorting devices and related methods
An order processing system, such as may be used in a high-volume pharmacy, may include a material handling system, an accumulator, and a packing device. The material handling system may move containers through a plurality of container paths. The container sorting device may receive the containers, scan the plurality of containers to detect container identifiers, and separate the containers based on the container identifiers to travel through a first container exit path or a second container exit path. The accumulator may accumulate containers that traveled through the first container exit path and the second container exit path. The accumulator may include an accumulator scanning device for scanning the containers to detect the container identifiers. The accumulator may group the containers together based on the detected container identifiers and orders, and provide the grouped containers. The packing device may package the grouped containers along with literature associated with the orders.
System for simultaneous distribution of fluid to multiple vessels and method of using the same
A method of aseptically distributing fluid including fluidly connecting a primary vessel to a fluid distribution system via a feedline of the supply vessel to form a closed system, priming the feedline to purge trapped gases and fluid from the feedline via a purge valve, simultaneously distributing fluid from the primary vessel to a plurality of secondary vessels, sensing a complete fill of the plurality of secondary vessels with the control system, and stopping the distribution of fluid when the complete fill is sensed by the control system.
Device and process for stoppering from below
A device is provided that accommodates elongate receptacles and charges. The device includes a superior surface, a first positioning device, a detaining device, and either a pusher or a second positioning device. The first positioning device is adapted and arranged to accommodate a pairing of a charge and a corresponding elongate receptacle. The pusher is moveable along a direction towards the superior surface to introduce the charge into the elongate receptacle. The second positioning device accommodates the pusher with the second positioning device and the pusher being moveable along the direction towards the superior surface to introduce the charge into the elongate receptacle. The detaining device limits the extent of movement of the pusher towards the superior surface.
System and method for safety syringe
A method for preparing a pre-filled multi-chamber injection system includes providing an injection system body, the injection system body defining an open proximal end, a body interior, and an open distal end. The method also includes introducing a first substance into a distal end of the body interior. The method further includes disposing a distal stopper member in the body interior, the distal stopper member and the injection system body defining proximal and distal chambers in the body interior. Moreover, the method includes introducing a second substance into the body interior. In addition, the method includes disposing a proximal stopper member in the body interior. The method also includes inserting an elongate member at least partially into the body interior, the elongate member having a plurality of flow channels for fluidly coupling the proximal and distal chambers. The method further includes coupling a plunger member to the proximal stopper member.
