Gait-Pace Meter and Methods of Determining Gait Speed
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to systems and methods of measuring speed and, more particularly, to systems and methods of measuring gait speed using a plurality of sensors. The systems described herein may include sensing units comprising one or more motion sensors for detecting a patient walking along a testing distance. In some embodiments, a controller may calculate a gait speed based at least in part on the testing distance and on signals received from the sensors. In some embodiments, an initiation input may be provided to activate the systems. In some embodiments, the initiation input may also provide a target to which a patient can walk.
DRIVING APTITUDE TEST DEVICE AND DRIVING APTITUDE DETERMINATION SYSTEM
The object of the present invention is to assess the driving aptitude of a target person. Provided is a driving aptitude assessment apparatus 200 including: functional impairment degree assessment means configured to assess the degree of functional impairment of a brain of a target person on the basis of test result information indicating a result of a neuropsychological test administered to the target person and head image data obtained by tomography of a head of the target person; and driving aptitude assessment means configured to assess the driving aptitude of the target person on the basis of an assessment result by the functional impairment degree assessment means.
Apparatus for Measuring Degree of Frailty on Basis of Athletic Ability Parameters
Disclosed herein is a frailty diagnosis apparatus. The frailty diagnosis apparatus includes a physical performance meter and a processor for determining a frailty index of a target person based on physical performance of the target person obtained by the physical performance meter. The physical performance meter includes at least one among a gait speed meter for measuring a gait speed of the target person, a body balance meter for measuring a body balance maintenance time of the target person, and a muscle strength meter for measuring a muscle exercise time.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING MEMORY IMPAIRMENT
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for treating memory impairment, and more specifically to customized visual presentation for treating memory-related disorders and diseases. The disclosed systems and methods can predict clinical status of patients based on platform user behavior, such as those of patients. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.
Incontinence detection system
A system for detecting an incontinence event includes a pad which is deployable on a mattress and which, as deployed, has a first conductor and a second conductor and in which the first conductor and the second conductor are not in electrical communication with each other. The system also incudes an RFID reader subsystem having a processor and an array of two or more spatially distributed antennas. The system is adapted to A) command transmission of energy from the antenna array at a variety of powers and at various frequencies, B) monitor the antenna array for a return signal resulting from the spatially and temporally varying transmission, and C) communicate a WET or DRY status to a destination. The WET or DRY status depends on a moisture status indicator of the return signal.
Berg balance testing apparatus and method for the same
A berg balance testing apparatus includes: a floor frame that is a stage on which the examinee takes movements; a plurality of first sensors that is disposed in sections divided to have a predetermined area on the floor frame and senses positions of the feet of the examinee; a second sensor that is disposed at a predetermined distance from the first sensors and senses movements of the examinee; a controller that performs a berg balance test on movements of the examinee on the basis of information sensed and transmitted by the first sensors and the second sensor; and a display that receives berg balance test guide and test result information from the controller and outputs the information through images.
Methods and systems for locating patients in a facility
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods of locating a patent within a facility. In one example, the system includes a beacon and a sensor. The beacon is positioned in a location of the facility. The beacon includes an infrared emitter and a processor. The processor is in communication with the infrared emitter. The processor is configured to instruct the infrared emitter to periodically emit an infrared emission. The processor modulates the infrared emission with a unique identification of the beacon that corresponds to the location of the beacon. The sensor is worn by the sensor wearer. The sensor includes an infrared receiver and a processor. The processor is in communication with the infrared received. The infrared receiver is configured to demodulate the received infrared emission to identify the unique identification of the beacon.
REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELDERLY AND PATIENT IN-HOME AND SENIOR LIVING FACILITIES CARE
The present application relates generally to a monitoring system to assist with aging-in-place for elderly individuals and patients with chronic diseases either living at home, senior living or assisted living facilities. In one aspect, integrating the use machine learning and signals from an interoperable system of electricity usage, water usage, ballistocardiography (BGC), and ultra-wideband radar, WiFi based computer visioning, infrared. The system and methods may be used to identify and track common daily human activities, instrumental daily living activities, the patient or elderly personal physical status in the home or at senior and assisted living facilities. Anomalies to patterns can be determined by identifying disruptions in previously established patterns.
IN-HOME REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREDICTING HEALTH STATUS DECLINE
The present application relates generally to in-home monitoring and an early health crisis alarm system for elderly individuals and patients with chronic diseases. In one aspect, using artificial intelligence and signals from electricity usage, water usage, ballistocardiography (BGC), and ultra-wideband radar, the system and methods may be used to identify and track daily human activities and physical status in the home. Anomalies to patterns can be determined by identifying disruptions in previously established patterns.
WALKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD OF WALKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A control method of a walking assistance apparatus is disclosed. The control method of the walking assistance apparatus includes estimating an operable time of the walking assistance apparatus based on an amount of remaining power and power consumption of the walking assistance apparatus, determining whether the operable time satisfies a preset criterion, and generating a torque profile based on an algorithm of a power saving mode when the preset criterion is satisfied.
