PAPER SHEET BINDING APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, a paper sheet binding apparatus includes a pressing member(1) that presses object to be bound(T) with a plurality of paper sheets stacked in a stacking direction of the paper sheets to move the object to be bound in the stacking direction, a feed unit(20) that feeds a binding belt(f) in a direction orthogonal to the stacking direction ahead of a moving direction of the object to be bound, a press member(3,4) that folds the binding belt along a back end in the moving direction of the object to be bound which is pressed by the pressing member and around which the binding belt is wound while pressing the back end of the object to be bound, and a welding and cutting unit(7) that welds the folded binding belts with each other and cuts the same.

Disclosed herein is a banknote handling apparatus 100 including a bundling stacker 4 configured to stack banknotes B therein. The bundling stacker 4 includes: a stage 41 configured to support the banknotes B in their thickness direction; and a guide 42 facing one side of the banknotes B and configured to regulate movement of the banknotes B in a predetermined regulation direction which is parallel to a surface of the banknotes B. The guide 42 moves such that while the banknotes B are removed from the bundling stacker 4, a gap G is formed in the regulation direction between the guide 42 and the one side of the banknotes B.

Disclosed herein is a banknote handling apparatus 100 including a bundling stacker 4 configured to stack banknotes B therein. The bundling stacker 4 includes: a stage 41 configured to support the banknotes B in their thickness direction; and a guide 42 facing one side of the banknotes B and configured to regulate movement of the banknotes B in a predetermined regulation direction which is parallel to a surface of the banknotes B. The guide 42 moves such that while the banknotes B are removed from the bundling stacker 4, a gap G is formed in the regulation direction between the guide 42 and the one side of the banknotes B.

The wrapping device includes a clamp mechanism configured to curve the stacked paper sheet bundle by pressing both side portions of the stacked paper sheet bundle, a band winding device configured to wind a wrapper band around the curved stacked paper sheet bundle, and a heater configured to heat-seal an end of the wrapper band. The clamp mechanism includes a press member configured to adjust a degree of curvature of the stacked paper sheet bundle.

Wrapping module and a method for providing a sleeve around a mail item
A wrapping module and a method for providing a sleeve around a mail item are disclosed. A sheet is folded over a leading edge of each mail item so that a first part of the sheet is folded against an upper side of the mail item and the second part of the sheet is folded against a lower side of the mail item and a third part of the sheet extends in the upstream direction beyond the trailing edge of the mail item. Glue is dispensed on the third part. The mail item is turned around with a turning station having a pendulum so that the third part of the sheet is folded around the mail item so that the third part is connected to the first part by the glue to form the sleeve.

A wrapping module and a method for providing a sleeve around a mail item are disclosed. A sheet is folded over a leading edge of each mail item so that a first part of the sheet is folded against an upper side of the mail item and the second part of the sheet is folded against a lower side of the mail item and a third part of the sheet extends in the upstream direction beyond the trailing edge of the mail item. Glue is dispensed on the third part. According to one embodiment, a stacking/wrapping apparatus includes a stacking device configured to stack paper sheets in a predetermined number on a stacking unit, a wrapping device configured to wrap a bundle of the stacked paper sheets by winding a band thereon, and a transport carrier configured to receive the paper sheet bundle and transport the paper sheet bundle to the wrapping device. The wrapping device includes a hand assembly, a hand drive mechanism configured to open and close the hand assembly and reciprocate the hand assembly at right angles to the stacking direction, and a band winding device configured to wind a wrapper band around the paper sheet bundle drawn into the binding position.

According to one embodiment, a stacking/wrapping apparatus includes a stacking device configured to stack paper sheets in a predetermined number on a stacking unit, a wrapping device configured to wrap a bundle of the stacked paper sheets by winding a band thereon, and a transport carrier configured to receive the paper sheet bundle and transport the paper sheet bundle to the wrapping device. The wrapping device includes a hand assembly, a hand drive mechanism configured to open and close the hand assembly and reciprocate the hand assembly at right angles to the stacking direction, and a band winding device configured to wind a wrapper band around the paper sheet bundle drawn into the binding position.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CURVED EDGE CIGARETTE ROLLING PAPER
A method of manufacturing packaged curved edge cigarette rolling papers including stacking a cigarette rolling paper blanks to form a leaf stack. The leaf stack is enclosed within a folded cover to form a covered leaf stack. A band is wrapped around the covered leaf stack to hold the leaf stack in alignment with the cover while the cover and leaf stack is die cut to form packaged curved edge cigarette rolling papers. The curved edge is continuous arc, for example an elliptical arc which eliminates the corners that can interfere with cigarette hand rolling.
