09950825 · 2018-04-24 · ·

An apparatus is for filling bags having a bag mouth extending in a direction of width with loose material. The apparatus includes grippers, suction cups, valves, and a pair of first carriages. The grippers are for gripping opposite edges of a bag, which are arranged opposite each other relative to a vertical axis of symmetry and are movable symmetrically towards and/or away from each other with respect to said vertical axis of symmetry in a direction parallel to the direction of width of the bag. The suction cups are for gripping side portions of the bag. The suction cups are movable symmetrically towards and/or away from each other along a direction perpendicular to the direction of width of the bag for opening and/or gripping the bag mouth of the bag. The valves can rotate from a closing position outside the bag into an opening position inside the bag mouth.

Sheet for use in pill packages, and pouch formed from a sheet

The disclosure relates to a sheet, a pouch containing pills made of a sheet material and a web of multiple of said pouches. The disclosure also relates to a method for manufacturing said web which makes use of said sheet. The pouches allow for optimal visibility of information printed on the pouches as well as optimal visibility of the pills for inspection purposes.

An apparatus for filling a product into a container is provided. The apparatus comprises: a filling unit configured for delivering the product into the container, the filling unit comprising a pump and furthermore a filling nozzle at its one end; a drive unit for moving the container in relation to the filling unit or vice versa back and forth between a first position, in which a bottom end of the container is arranged at a maximum distance from the filling nozzle, and a second position, in which the bottom end of the container is arranged at a minimum distance from the filling nozzle, and a control unit configured to controlling delivery of the product through the filling nozzle, to control the drive unit, and to calculate a new drive unit motion profile for controlling movement from said second position to said first position. The control unit is further configured to calculate the acceleration of the pump at predefined positions of the drive unit, to calculate drive unit compensation distances as a function of the pump acceleration at predefined positions of the drive unit, and to update the drive unit motion profile using said drive unit compensation distances.

Filling valve for liquids

A filling valve for liquids, includes a liquid feed into a valve chamber, a valve seat, a closure element, which interacts with the valve seat and moves between an open position and a closed position, an outlet for the liquid, and a cylindrical discharge element arranged at the outlet with a plurality of passages. The surface of the discharge element facing the closure element forms a part of the valve seat. To avoid clogging of the passages in the discharge element by fibers in the liquid, the passages ending at the surface of the discharge element are extended from the surface toward the closure element by tubes. Each tube can be closed by a cap which surrounds the tube at least in the closed position forming an annular space.

Valve and sealed container for submicron particles, and method for using same

A container with improved sealing, for improved security in the event of loading, transporting and/or unloading submicron particles, in particular nanopowder/nanoparticles, includes a connector for injecting liquid and/or gas. Such a container can also contain at least one inflatable seal (40) valve (3; 4). The container is provided with elements for changing the physical state of the material by heating, mixing or ultrasound bombardment. A method for using the container and an inflatable seal valve are also described.

Filling unit and method for filling a confectionery product into a mould or a container

A filling unit and a method for filling a confectionery mass into a container or a mold includes a fill housing with a filling nozzle (2) and at least two dosing pistons in a cylinder which is connected to the fill housing. In the fill housing, a valve is arranged for each cylinder. A mixing block with internal ducts connects each of the outlets with a respective internal duct in the filling nozzle. The confectionery mass is conducted from a filling nozzle into at least one of the cylinders after which the confectionery mass is dosed down into the mold or container by actuating the dosing pistons. The speeds of the pistons are controlled independently of each other, providing varying patterns in longitudinal direction of the ice-cream/confectionery product. The movement of the filling unit relative to the container or mold can be varied providing additional options for variation in patterns.

Gathering and dispensing scoop with gate valve
09896319 · 2018-02-20 · ·

A gathering and dispensing scoop with agitating gate valve provides a hemispherically shaped scoop body defining an upper opening, a bottom opening, and a channel extending therebetween. A handle extends radially from an outer peripheral surface of the scoop body. A sector shaped gate valve transects the channel and has a user operable finger tab adjacent to the handle for a user to pivot the gate valve from a first position obstructing the bottom opening to a second position wherein the gate valve no longer obstructs the channel and opens the bottom opening.
