Rotary Filling Machine
A rotary filling machine includes a rotatable fill plate with fill openings defined therein, a plurality of circumferentially spaced drop buckets mounted above the fill plate and configured to rotate with the fill plate, and a rotating mounting plate mounted on top of the fill plate and disposed below the drop buckets. Each drop bucket includes an inner radial wall, an outer radial wall, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall surrounding a volume bounded by top and bottom openings. A coupler for each drop bucket includes a first connector, such as a socket, extending from an outer surface of the inner radial wall and a mating connector, such as a post, extending upwardly from the mounting ring. A plurality of ridges or protrusions are formed on a side surface of at least one of the walls to reduce the planar surface area available for adhesion to materials being dispensed.
Liquid filling system and method of using same
A liquid filling system is provided that contains a container and a nozzle, while such nozzle contains liquid flow passages that are configured to generate different liquid influxes that are directed differentially toward the bottom and the sidewall(s) of such containers.
Container filling assembly
A container filling assembly that can be used with container filling systems to fill containers during successive filling cycles with the same or different fluid compositions at high rates of speed, with little to no machinery changeover, and/or with little to no fluid waste.
Rotary Filling Machine
A rotary filling machine for filling containers with bridgeable dry materials includes a turret supporting a plurality of circumferentially spaced drop buckets and a plurality of funnel assemblies located under the drop buckets. A stationary slide plate is located vertically between the funnel assemblies and the drop buckets. When viewed in a direction of turret rotation, the slide plate has an upstream end, a downstream end, and inner and outer edges. A portion of the slide plate is tapered progressively in diameter toward its downstream end such that flow paths from the bottoms of the drop buckets to the inlet openings of the funnel assemblies increase progressively in diameter with the taper of the slide plate. Also provided is a funnel assembly and drop buckets provided with one more partitions that hinder the “snow-plowing of particles” along the edge of the associated fill opening in machine's fill plate rather than the sweeping of those particles into the fill opening.
Dual compartmented pouch and method for making the same
A method for making said flexible includes forming a flexible pouch having an open top. A dividing seal extends from the open top to the bottom of the pouch so as to define two pouch openings and two pouch spaces. Substances are introduced into the pouch spaces by a first nozzle and a second nozzle inserted into a respective first space and second space and filling the pouch body through the first and second nozzle.
Unitary dispensing nozzle for co-injection of two or more liquids and method of using same
A unitary dispensing nozzle for co-injecting two or more liquids of different viscosity, solubility and/or miscibility at high filling speed to improve homogeneous mixing of such liquids, while said nozzle is an integral piece free of any movable parts and substantially free of dead space.
APPARATUS AND METHOD TO AUTOMATICALLY INSERT A LIQUID IN COMPONENTS FOR INHALERS; IN PARTICULAR CARTOMIZERS FOR ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES
An apparatus and method to automatically insert a liquid inside components of inhalers, such as cartomizers for electronic cigarettes, includes injection means having a plurality of injectors each having an injection head having a substantially symmetrical conformation with respect to its symmetrical axis. The injection means are configured to cooperate with an empty end part of a component and at least one injection needle is configured to penetrate into an internal cavity of the component and inject the liquid, while said injection head is stationary with respect to said component, arranging itself with the symmetrical axis substantially coincidental with the longitudinal axis of said internal cavity.
LIQUID DISPENSING SYSTEM COMPRISING AN UNITARY DISPENSING NOZZLE
A liquid dispensing system for dispensing two or more liquids of different composition, viscosity, solubility and/or miscibility at high filling speeds into a container through a unitary dispensing nozzle to improve homogeneous mixing of such liquids, while said nozzle is an integral piece free of any movable parts.
Device and method for co-metering
A device for co-metering liquid and/or pasty products includes: a first metering unit for metering a first product; a second metering unit for metering a second product; and a nozzle including a first duct supplied by the first metering unit and opening out into a first orifice, a second duct supplied by the second metering unit and opening out into a second orifice, and a third duct opening out into a third orifice. The device is configured such that the third duct is supplied by the first and second metering units such that a mixture of the first and second products is discharged by the third orifice.
Cold blow-fill-seal packaging system and process
A method and system for cold blow-fill-seal packaging of a product. The method and system are directed to maintaining a relatively cold temperature of the product to be packaged during the flow-fill-seal process. This accomplished via the use of one or more of, for example, a heat-exchanger in the system, insulated flow lines and steps taken during the procedure to maintain the temperature of the product below a certain level.
