REARRANGING AND SELECTING FRAMES OF MEDICAL VIDEOS
Disclosed are processes including receiving at least a first and a second image data record corresponding to a first and a second point in time and including a first and a second one or more images of a wound; obtaining an image of the wound from a particular point of view corresponding to the first point in time by analyzing the first image data record; generating a simulated image of the wound from the particular point of view corresponding to the second point in time by analyzing the second image data record; and generating a visual time series view of the wound including at least the image of the wound from the particular point of view corresponding to the first point in time and the simulated image of the wound from the particular point of view corresponding to the second point in time.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SAMPLING FLUID AND ANALYZING FLUID SAMPLES
Apparatuses and methods for analyzing fluid samples are provided. For example, an example apparatus may include a fluid imaging chamber, at least one illumination source component, and an image sensor component. In some examples, the fluid imaging chamber comprises a flow channel for receiving a fluid sample. In some examples, the at least one illumination source component is configured to emit at least one light beam, and the at least one light beam is directed through the fluid sample in the flow channel from a top surface of the fluid imaging chamber. In some embodiments, the image sensor component is positioned under a bottom surface of the fluid imaging chamber and configured to generate digital holography image data of the fluid sample.
METHOD FOR THE DETECTING ELECTROCARDIOGRAM ANOMALIES AND CORRESPONDING SYSTEM
A heartrate monitor detects heartbeats in a test signal. A local heartrate and an energy of acceleration are associated with the detected heartbeats. Detected heartbeats are included or excluded from a test set of heartbeats based on the local heartrate and energy of acceleration associated with the respective heartbeats. Anomalous heartbeats in the test set of heartbeats are detected using a sparse approximation model. The heartrate monitor may detect heartbeats in a training heartbeat signal. A reference heart rate and an energy of acceleration are associated with detected beats of the training heartbeat signal and selectively included in a set of training data based on the heart rate and energy of acceleration associated with the detected beat in the training heartbeat signal. A dictionary of the sparse representation model may be generated using the set of training data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROMOTING A SLEEP STAGE OF A USER
System and methods are disclosed that promote a sleep stage of a user. The systems and methods determine a current sleep stage of a user during a sleep session, with the user using a respiratory therapy system during the sleep session. The systems and methods further predict an undesired sleep stage upcoming for the user during the sleep session based, at least in part, on (i) one or more user parameters, information from one or more previous sleep sessions, or a combination thereof, and (ii) the current sleep stage. The systems and methods adjust one or more control parameters of the respiratory therapy system, of one or more devices in an environment of the user, or of a combination thereof to promote a desired sleep stage of the user, thereby optimizing sleep of the user.
DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE ABILITY OF A PERSON TO CARRY OUT ONE OR MORE ACTIVITIES
The present invention relates to a device for assessing the ability of a person to carry out one or more activities, comprising an input unit for receiving physiological and/or behavioural data of the person, the physiological and/or behavioural data being related to one or more first level activities, a determination unit for determining a performance grade of the person regarding each first level activity based on the received physiological and/or behavioural data, and an assessment unit configured to assess an ability grade of the person to carry out one or more second level activities based on the determined performance grade, wherein each second level activity relates to one or more associated first level activities, wherein the assessment unit is further configured to output information indicative of the assessed ability grade.
TREATMENT OF OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA (OSA)
A system for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is described. The system includes an introducer needle having an elongated body. The introducer needle is configured to create an opening in a tongue of a patient for implantation of a lead for treating OSA. One or more electrically conductive areas are located on the elongated body. A medical device is configured to deliver a stimulation signal via the introducer needle through the one or more electrically conductive areas to the tongue of the patient to stimulate one or more motor points of a protrusor muscle within the tongue of the patient.
Method for accurate and reliable detection of falls using digital motion sensors
The invention is a method for detection is an individual has fallen down using data from a hardware motion sensor, and moreover, integrating contextual and environmental data to improve accuracy and reduce false positives. Such a sensor could be embedded into a smartwatch, mobile phone, or wearable device, rendering this method suitable for tracking the health and wellness of individuals of limited independence such as the elderly.
Selected pre-hospital treatment based on wireless network communication in a fifth generation (5G) or other next generation network
The technologies described herein are generally directed to facilitating operation of a health network control system. In accordance with one or more embodiments, systems described herein can include a processor, and a memory that can store executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, can facilitate performance of operations that can include facilitating receiving, from transceiver of a second device, a first signal that can describe an event related to treatment of the treatment subject. Further, the operations can include, based on an analysis of the subject information, the event information and facility information representative of a group of treatment facilities, selecting a treatment facility that can perform the treatment of the treatment subject, resulting in a selected treatment facility, and facilitating communicating via a second signal to the transceiver of the second device, selected facility information corresponding to the selected treatment facility.
Method and apparatus for verifying bradycardia/asystole episodes via detection of under-sensed events
A system and method for detecting and verifying bradycardia/asystole episodes includes sensing an electrogram (EGM) signal. The EGM signal is compared to a primary threshold to sense events in the EGM signal, and at least one of a bradycardia or an asystole is detected based on the comparison. In response to detecting at least one of a bradycardia or an asystole, the EGM signal is compared to a secondary threshold to sense events under-sensed by the primary threshold. The validity of the bradycardia or the asystole is determined based on the detected under-sensed events.
