Bag web and method for packing a product in film bags by using such a bag web
There is disclosed a bag web for packing articles in film bags provided as a contiguous web. At an opening edge, the bag web is provided with peripheral strip areas having holes intended for guide connection with guide means that can retain and guide the bags along a conveyor path through a filling station. The bag items will thus be contiguous along an upper edge, which is used for guiding. The bag webs include the film webs forming opposing front and back sides of the bag and additional film pieces disposed between the flat sides of the bag in order thereby to form side or bottom, or both side and bottom, of the bag. By such a bag web is achieved a particularly simple and rapid filling of the type with stand bottom and with folded side edges.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LABELLING PRIMARY PACKAGINGS
Provided is a method for labelling first packagings, including at least the following steps: transporting labels to a labelling zone, wherein an adhesive side of the labels is directed upward during the transport; removing the primary packagings to be labelled from a magazine device, wherein the packagings are provided in the magazine device as packaging blanks which are at least in sections flat, and are preferably removed individually from the magazine device; placing the primary packagings onto the labels and adhering the labels to the packagings, wherein the packagings are preferably pressed from above onto the labels; inserting the first labelled packagings into secondary packagings; and introducing several containers into the primary and secondary packagings.
PLASTIC BAG DISPENSER
A plastic bag dispenser is disclosed. The plastic bag dispenser contains an elastic cord which has a first a first end and a second end. There is also a first spindle, which has the the ability to connect to the first end of said elastic cord, and a second spindle, which has the ability to connect to the second end of the elastic cord, such that when the first spindle is connected to the first end of said elastic end and the second spindle is connected to the second end of the elastic cord, there exists the ability to hold a roll of plastic bags between the first spindle and the second spindle without the roll of plastic bags unraveling. The adjustable elastic cord secures the plastic bags to the roll on which the plastic bags are wrapped and serve to act as a pressure element to easily tear off a perforated bag.
MACHINE AND METHOD
A machine for packing elongate bags for use with a waste disposal apparatus is disclosed herein. The machine comprises means for holding a reel of flexible tubing, the flexible tubing wound on the reel as a film having two parallel edges, the flexible tubing, when opened, forming a ring of elongate flexible tubing having an aperture at at least one end. The machine also comprises a pair of gripping means configured to engage and grip a region proximate to each edge of the film and draw the film of flexible tubing off of the reel, and a jig configured to be inserted into the aperture and hold a portion of the film in a ring around the jig, the jig configured to hold the film adjacent to and in engagement with the gripping means. Operation of the gripping means causes the film of elongate flexible tubing to be drawn over the jig and to be gathered in a ring of compacted flexible tubing around a base of the jig.
Packaging station and method of operating a packaging station
An apparatus includes a product metering device, first and second container preparation systems, and a controller. The product metering device is configured to dispense a product. The first and second container preparation systems are configured to dispense first and second containers, respectively, for receiving the product from the product metering device. The first and second container preparation systems include first and second severed container material transporting devices, respectively, operable to transport the first and second containers, respectively, from the first and second container preparation systems, respectively, to the product metering device. The controller simultaneously controls (i) one of the first container preparation system and the second container preparation system to prepare one of the first container and the second container, and (ii) the product metering device to dispense the product into the other of the first container and the second container.
Apparatus and method for forming a carton
An apparatus for faulting a carton containing a group of articles and a method of forming a carton. The apparatus comprises an article positioning system for positioning articles into a plurality of groups of articles and moving the groups of articles along a processing path, a blank handling apparatus for conveying a plurality of carton blanks towards the plurality of groups of articles, and a folding mechanism that is downstream of the blank handling apparatus for folding a portion of the ends of each respective carton blank downwardly around the respective group of articles.
BAG WITH CUTS
An exemplary web of preformed bags includes first and second layers, first and second side, first and second side seals proximate the first and second edges, a plurality of transverse seals extending between the first and second side edges, an opening in the first layer, and a line of separation in the second layer, and first and second cuts in the first and second side seals. The first and second cuts are configured to reduce or eliminate a breaking force necessary to break the first and second side seals when the web is torn along the line of separation.
Plant for automated packaging of items in cardboard boxes
A plant for automated packaging of items in cardboard boxes includes a forming station of open sheet boxes starting from a cardboard web, an item introduction system, a box closing station, and a feeding system. A cutting and creasing system at the forming station produces a longitudinal elongate element defining the bottom and top walls and a first pair of side walls of the box, and transverse panels providing the second pair of side walls. A first gluing system bonds the transverse panels to the elongate element by applying hot-melt strips on the side edges of the elongate element, and a pair of suction-cup manipulators applies the transverse panels on the elongate element at the glue strips to obtain a cross-shaped blank. The closing station includes a folding and automatic gluing system that folds and bonds the side walls and the top wall of the box to produce finished packages.
System, apparatus and method of placing an insert in a bag
A bag carrying mechanism for a bag and insert combining apparatus for combining a stream of inserts with a stream of bags is provided. The bag carrying mechanism includes a plurality of bag holding arrangements operably coupled to one another for rotation about a rotational axis. Each bag holding arrangement includes first and second segments movable relative to one another and forming a receiving cavity therebetween. First and second holding features hold opposite sides of the bag within the receiving cavity and selectively hold the bag in an open position for receipt of an insert through an open end of the bag. Methods of using the bag carrying mechanism and systems incorporating the bag carrying mechanism are provided.
