A system and method for dispensing cones comprises a cone filler control system; a cone stack feed tube that receives a cone stack; a roller drive motor; a roller coupled to the roller drive motor and that is located below the cone stack feed tube outlet, wherein the roller is rotated for a predefined duration by the roller drive motor when the roller drive motor is actuated by the cone filler control system; and a cone chute located below the roller and above a cone receptacle, wherein the roller rotates to draw the leading cone out from the cone stack feed tube outlet and into the cone chute inlet in response to actuation of the roller drive motor, and wherein the leading cone travels through the cone chute into the cone receptacle after the leading cone has entered into the cone chute.

Value added substrate interleaving system
A system for interleaving substrate under food products is provided. The system includes an interleaver assembly configured to interleave substrate with food products. A programmable logic controller (PLC) includes a sensor in communication with the interleaver assembly. The sensor is configured to detect an identifier provided on each substrate stock of a plurality of substrate stocks, and each identifier is associated with an interleaving profile. The interleaver assembly interleaves the substrate with the food product according to a specific interleaving profile in response to the sensor detecting the identifier on the substrate stock.
Systems for packaging stacks of bags
A system for end-folding a wrapping onto a stack of bags includes a folding machine having a first folding station and a second folding station. The first folding station configured to receive the stack of bags with the wrapping partially covering the stack of bags and defining wrapping flaps, and is further configured to end-fold one or more of the wrapping flaps of the wrapping onto the stack of bags while leaving other flaps unfolded. The second folding station is downstream from the first folding station is configured to receive the stack of bags from the first folding station and further end-fold unfolded wrapping flaps of the wrapping onto the stack of bags.

A dimensioning mechanism determines the outer dimensions of the stack and a converting assembly creates a box template that when erected forms a box that is custom sized to the dimensions of the stack. A crowder assembly holds and maintains the stack in the desired configuration while the box template is at least partially folded around the stack. The box template is secured around the stack in the form of a box.

Packaging of objects in stiff packages
A method and a packaging machine for packaging objects in a stiff package, for example in a carton box or in a box, the stiff package comprising a right flap, a left flap, an upper flap and a lower flap. After folding the right, left, and lower flaps in closed position, the upper flap is kept in a semi-closed position so as to only partially overlap the closed lower flap. Glue is then applied to the closed lower flap or semi-closed upper flap. After applying the glue, the upper flap is brought in closed position so that it is fixed to the lower flap. The application of the glue to the lower flap in closed position or to the upper flap in semi-closed position allows adjusting the squaring of the package immediately before bringing the upper flap from the semi-closed position to the closed position, i.e., immediately before fixing the flaps and closing the package.
Automatic filling and packaging device
An object is to provide an automatic filling and packaging device which enhances the efficiency of packaging work and which suppresses the occurrence of defective products to achieve satisfactory yield. In an automatic filling and packaging device, a locating means, a pair of upper gusset nails, a pair of intermediate gusset nails, a pair of lower gusset nails, and a blade-equipped sealing device are formed into a unit as a unit main body, and the unit main body and the pusher member are formed to be able to freely move close to and apart from each other. In this way, as compared with a conventional automatic filling and packaging device, it is possible to reduce the total time in which one article to be packaged is filled into one packaging bag and then the opening end portion thereof is sealed, with the result that it is possible to enhance the efficiency of packaging work.
