On-demand protective structures for packaging items in a container
Example methods and systems are disclosed for on-demand packaging of one or more items. According to one example, a method can include receiving an order for the item(s) and determining characteristic-information for the item(s) using a computer system. The characteristic-information includes an indication of at least a size and a shape of the item(s). The method also includes processing the characteristic-information based on design criteria to determine an arrangement of the item(s) within at least one container volume, and a configuration for a protective structure to hold the item(s) in the arrangement within the container volume(s). The method can further include, in response to the processing the characteristic-information, forming the protective structure according to the configuration, placing the item(s) into the protective structure according to the arrangement, and placing the protective structure and the item(s) in the container volume(s).
Device For Vacuum Stoppering A Medical Container
The invention relates to a device for vacuum stoppering a medical container. The device includes a main body defining an internal volume that has a variable pressure chamber configured to be connected to a vacuum pump. A stopper holder system is arranged in communication with the variable pressure chamber and is configured to receive and hold a stopper aligned with the direction of travel of a piston rod. A piston rod is moveable inside the internal volume of the main body along a longitudinal axis between a proximal rest position and a distal operative position wherein the piston rod pushes the stopper into the medical container. A container holder system provided in the main body, is arranged distally relative to the stopper holder system and in communication with the variable pressure chamber.
Bag-sealing apparatus and method
Bag-sealing apparatus is provided for heat-sealing a bag. The apparatus has a heater arrangement operable to apply heat to heat-seal an open end of the bag. A bag detector detects the location of the bag relative to the heater arrangement. The heater arrangement is formed of plural heater portions. The heater arrangement is operable such that only the or each heater portion that overlies the bag as detected by the bag detector is caused to operate to apply heat to the bag.
PROCESSING DEVICE FOR FOIL POUCHES
The invention relates to a processing device for foil pouches, comprising a plurality of pouch receiving elements arranged side by side, each of them being configured to receive and transport one foil pouch, a plurality of pairs of oppositely disposed ramps arranged successively in the direction of transport, the pouch receiving elements being transported in a guided manner along said ramps when in operation, the distance of oppositely disposed ramps defining the width of the pouch receiving elements, and an adjusting element configured to automatically adjust the distance transversely to the direction of transport between oppositely disposed ramps.
APPARATUS FOR THE TRANSFER OF FOIL BAGS
The present invention refers to an apparatus for the transfer of foil bags, the apparatus comprising a magazine system, a plurality of adjacently arranged bag receptacles for the simultaneous transportation of adjacently arranged foil bags, and comprising a plurality of clamps which are each configured for gripping a foil bag in a bag receptacle and for the suspended transportation of the foil bag, wherein the apparatus is configured such that during operation foil bags are transferred from the foil bag magazines to the bag receptacles and are gripped in the bag receptacles by the clamps and are transported in suspended fashion, and wherein the apparatus comprises height-adjustable bottom support elements which are configured and arranged such that they respectively support from below the bottom of a foil bag in a bag receptacle up to the position where the clamps grip the foil bag.
Corner post application system
A corner post application system comprises a conveyor subsystem and an enveloping machine adapted to envelope the plurality of units with a material. The system further includes a swing arm, an applicator arm coupled to the swing arm and adapted to move linearly, a corner post gripper coupled to the applicator arm, and a controller. The controller rotates the swing arm about a vertical axis until a corner post held by the corner post gripper is aligned with adjacent sides that define a corner of the load. The controller thereafter stops rotation of the swing arm and moves the applicator arm linearly toward the corner of the load until the corner post held by the corner post gripper contacts the adjacent sides of the load. A sensor may be included for detecting a corner of the load, with the controller aligning the corner post based on detection by the sensor.
METHOD FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES IN BUBBLE WRAP
A method for packaging articles (1) in blister packs (P) comprising an accommodating part (2) which accommodates the article (1) and, once the article (1) has been accommodated, is closed by a strip (5) of material, wherein the accommodating part (2) is adapted, at least in part, to the article (1) which is to be packaged.
Device for positioning and/or orienting one or more adjustable directing components for guiding articles in a transport system
Disclosed is a device (1) for positioning one or more adjustable directing components for guiding articles in a transport system. One or more of the directing components are coupled to at least one first output (7a to 7g) of a transmission arrangement (11) and can be positioned via the at least one first output (7a to 7g). One or more further directing components are coupled to at least one second output (7a to 7g) of the transmission (11) and coupled via at least one second output (7a to 7g) of the transmission (11) and can be positioned via the at least one second output (7a to 7g). The device (1) further comprises a control actuator (17), which can be selectively and mechanically brought into an operative connection with the at least one first output (7a to 7g) and/or with the at least one second output (7a to 7g).
Automatic random box sealer and method of sealing boxes of different sizes
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a box sealer including a first box measurer including a top flap engager configured to move downwardly from a disengaged position above a box at a box measuring position to an engaged position in which the top flap engager engages one or more of the four upright open top flaps of the box. The amount of movement of the top flap engager is partially used to determine the height of the box. The determined height is then used to position a combined flap closer and flap sealer at an appropriate position.
Packaging aid, packing method and packing workplace
It is disclosed a packing-work station for packing articles, which belong to one picking order, into shipping units comprising: a packing device comprising a packing plane where the articles are stackable to an article stack; a stacking aid having a plurality of lateral sides against which the articles are positioned to form the article stack, wherein the stacking aid is configured to be positioned on the packing plane; and a measuring device for determining dimensions of the article stack in order to individually produce the shipping unit in accordance with the so-determined dimensions; wherein the lateral sides of the stacking aid, which are closed in a circumferential direction of the stacking aid, are connected to each other; wherein the lateral sides define an open bottom side as well as an open top side of the stacking aid, wherein the lateral sides are adjustable in length at least along the circumferential direction for positioning the lateral sides circumferentially compact against the article stack; and wherein the measuring device is configured to measure a length of the lateral sides of the stacking aid as well as to determine a maximum height of the article stack and the measured lengths as well as to transmit the so-determined height to a package-production device which produces the shipping unit in accordance with the measured lengths and the determined height.
