System and method for palletless shipment of gas cylinder arrays
A system and method are provided for palletless shipment of gas cylinder arrays. A three-dimensional array of gas cylinders is formed from a plurality of vertically-stacked two-dimensional subarrays. First elongated voids extend through the array in a width direction at a first handle elevation. Second elongated voids extend through the array in a depth direction at a second handle elevation. The first and second elongated voids are bilaterally bounded by handle portions of adjacent gas cylinders, and vertically bounded by upper and lower surfaces of surrounding cylinders. Pairs of tunnel elements are disposed within respective elongated voids and are each configured to releasably receive a corresponding forklift tong. Vertically-disposed pillars may be provided to increase the rigidity and load distribution of the system. Flaps may radiate from the pillars to minimize impact and abrasion between adjacent cylinders during shipment. Key system components may be inexpensively formed from recyclable, lightweight materials.
Process and device for manufacturing a pack of products comprising a handle
The present invention is directed to a process for manufacturing a pack of products (1) having a bottom side (2) and an opposite top side (3), comprising a handle (5) formed over the top side (3) and adapted to be grasped by hand, wherein the process comprises the following steps:providing the products (1) to be packaged;fitting a binding structure around the products (1) to bind them;forming a handle (5) by wrapping a plastic film (4) around the bound products (1) over at least one turn, the plastic film (4) covering at least most of the bottom side (2) and being gathered to a reduced width over the top side (3) to form the handle (5). The present invention is also directed to a device for manufacturing a pack of products (1).

Bag suitable for packaging of fruit and vegetable products and means for its manufacture
A bag (100) suitable for packaging fruit and vegetable products (2) comprising a casing (103) capable of housing the products to be packaged and at least one first band (104) and one second band (105) each arranged on the outer face of the casing so as to seal said casing, the first band (104) being joined to the casing only at its ends (104a, 104b) forming a handle (106) and the second band (105) joined along the length thereof to the associated face of the casing, forming a stable bottom (105c). A station (1) for producing this bag (100) comprises an expansion device (4) of tubular material comprising an upper expansion body (4a) and a lower expansion body (4b) mechanically linked to each other with a capacity for movement of one with respect to the other and that cooperate with welding groups.
Plant for packing PVC bottles or other similar containers in packs by applying band-like bindings calledd also as straps
A plant for packing bottles or similar containers includes an operating unit carrying out a rapid assembly that includes a portable pack made by three straps: a first one applied on the lower half of the body of the bottles, a second one applied at the neck of the bottles, both arranged on planes perpendicular to the vertical axes of the bottles, and a third one applied loosely and perpendicularly to the other two straps and laying on a vertical plane passing through the center of gravity of the pack.
Secure shopping bag
A security handle for a bag that holds merchandise, a bag incorporating the handle and a method of using the same. A first handle section of the security handle is secured to a first wall of the bag. A second section of the handle is folded over an upper end of the bag and is secured to a second wall of the bag that is opposite the first wall. The handle thereby closes off access to an interior compartment defined by the bag, thereby securing merchandise within the interior compartment. The handle includes a selectively removable tamper-proof opener member positioned between the first and second handle sections. The opener member is removed after delivery of the bag to a customer to allow access to interior compartment of the bag. The opener member may be a pull tab that is integrally formed with the first and second handle sections.
