DEVICE FOR INSERTING AN APERTURE IN A PART-REGION OF A FILM WRAPPING OF A GOODS STACK ARRANGED ON A PALLET, WHERE THE FILM WRAPPING IS CONFIGURED AS A FILM HOOD DRAWN OVER THE GOODS STACK OR AS A FILM SLEEVE SURROUNDING THE GOODS STACK AT LEAST IN PART
A device for inserting an aperture in a film wrapping of a goods stack arranged on a pallet, where the film wrapping is a film hood drawn over the goods stack or as a film sleeve surrounding the goods stack is disclosed.
A piercing element has a rotatably attached actuation arm. The piercing element exhibits first and second part-regions. The first part-region is mounted rotatably on the actuation arm and the second part-region includes the piercing region. The second part-region is pivotable relative to the first part-region from an original position against a restoring force. A corresponding system and a method for inserting an aperture in a part-region of a film wrapping of a goods stack arranged on a pallet is disclosed, where the film wrapping is configured as a film hood drawn over the goods stack or as a film sleeve surrounding the goods stack.
Automated removal of binding tapes from a coil
Coil has been produced by coiling of a strip. The coil has two end faces and a lateral surface, and also a coil eye having an eye axis. The binding bands have a binding band width. Initially, while a first subregion of the lateral surface of the coil, as seen in the direction of the eye axis, is resting on a first rest, those binding bands which, as seen in the direction of the eye axis, surround the coil completely outside the first subregion are removed. Then, while a second subregion of the coil, as seen in the direction of the eye axis, is resting on the first rest or a second rest, those binding bands which were not removed are removed. The first and the second subregion, as seen in the direction of the eye axis, are spaced apart from one another at least by the binding band width.
STRAP-WINDING AND STRAP-COIL-DEFORMING SYSTEM
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a strap-winding and strap-coil-deforming system (10) configured to wind a strap segment (S) into a coil and then deform the strap coil to render it more compact and to reduce the likelihood that it will uncoil during handling, storage, or transport. The deformed strap coil is introduced into a discharge chute (DC) to discharge it away from the strap-winding and strap-coil-deforming system (10) for further handling, storage, or transport.
METHODS OF OPERATING CUTTING TOOLS
A method of cutting a tie wrap, bound about at least one wire, using a cutting tool is provided. The method comprising steps of: applying a housing of the cutting tool to the tie wrap, positioning a portion of the tie wrap within a first groove of the housing between first two opposing sidewalls and second two opposite sidewalls of the housing, moving the at least one wire and maintaining the at least one wire a distance away from the tie wrap, moving a circular blade of the cutting tool against the portion of the tie wrap, positioned within the first groove, and at least partially cutting the tie wrap with the circular blade. In some examples, the method further comprises controlling a depth of the circular blade within the tie wrap while the circular blade at least partially cuts the tie wrap.
Cutting tools
A tool for use in cutting a tie wrap that is bound about at least one wire is provided. The tool includes a housing having a first side and a second side, wherein the first side and the second side are coupled together to define a cavity. The housing further includes a groove formed in the first side and in the second side, wherein the groove is in flow communication with the cavity. A blade is coupled to the first side and positioned with the cavity, wherein the blade includes a cutting surface partially extending into the groove. The tool also includes a spacer coupled to the housing and configured to maintain the wire a distance away from the cutting surface when the housing is applied to the tie wrap.
Package unbundling system
Methods and tools for unbundling polywrapped packages. An automatic unbundling system includes an input unit configured to receive a polywrapped bundle that includes a plurality of items and a conveyor system configured to transport the bundle. The automatic unbundling system includes an automatic unwrapping machine configured to receive the bundle from the conveyor system and unwrap the bundle. The automatic unbundling system can include a loose stack accumulator configured to straighten the unwrapped plurality of items.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR RELEASING CABLE TIES
A tool comprises housing 110, elongated member 120, trigger 170, first jaw 130, and second jaw 140. Housing 110 comprises housing abutment surface 112. Elongated member 120 comprises distal end 122, proximal end 124, and elongated-member abutment surface 128. Trigger 170 is pivotally coupled to housing 110 and is coupled to elongated member 120. Elongated member 120 translates along axis 121 when trigger 170 is moved relative to housing 110. First jaw 130 abuts housing abutment surface 112 of housing 110 and is configured to engage cable tie 200. First jaw 130 is located between distal end 122 of elongated member 120 and housing abutment surface 112. Second jaw 140 abuts elongated-member abutment surface 128 and is configured to engage cable tie 200. Second jaw 140 translates relative to first jaw 130 along axis 121 when trigger 170 is pivoted with respect to housing 110.
AUTOMATED DECANTING APPARATUS, A SYSTEM INCLUDING THE APPARATUS, AND A METHOD OF AUTOMATIC DECANTING
The disclosure provides an automated process, apparatus and system for decanting containers. The automated decanting process can include receiving containers, cutting the containers, such as along a cut line that is proximate the top of the container, flipping the containers once cut, and separating products from the containers by moving the containers. Moving the containers for the separation or removal of the products from the containers can be a lifting motion, a sliding/pushing motion, or a combination thereof. In one example, a method of automatically decanting products includes: (1) cutting a container along a cut line proximate a top of the container, wherein the container includes product, (2) rotating the container, and (3) separating the product from the container by moving the container.
