In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to screening a body temperature of a human. In some embodiments, there is provided a touchless temperature screening system that screens a body temperature of a human including a housing comprising an output interface; one or more first sensors; a temperature sensor; and a control circuit configured to: cause the output interface to provide one or more messages; receive the one or more user inputs indicative of responses to at least one of the one or more messages; receive temperature data corresponding to the body temperature; determine whether the human meets a health criteria; and transmit a control signal indicative of the human meeting the health criteria in response to the human meeting the health criteria.

Surgical instrument comprising a control circuit

A surgical instrument is disclosed comprising a housing and a control circuit mounted to and/or embedded in the housing.

MONITORING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM AND MONITORING ASSISTANCE METHOD

In a monitoring assistance system that includes a wearable terminal which is worn by a person to be monitored and which continuously obtains vital data, a watcher terminal associated with the wearable terminal, and a management server communicably connected to the watcher terminal and/or the wearable terminal and that processes vital data to which an identification code of the wearable terminal is attached, the vital data includes pulse rate data and blood oxygen level data, it is determined, in a case where the pulse rate data and the blood oxygen level data is not being detected, that a non-wearing state, where the wearable terminal is removed from the person, has been established, and it is determined, in a case where the pulse rate data is not being detected and the blood oxygen level data is being detected, that a pulse of the person to be monitored has stopped.

Systems and methods for touchless temperature screening system

Techniques and protocols for facilitating wireless secure communications between a sensor system and one or more other devices are disclosed. In certain embodiments, the techniques and protocols include secure proximity pairing techniques with reduced power. A method for pairing an analyte sensor system and one or more display devices includes broadcasting, from the analyte sensor system, for an initial connection, a low power general advertisement including an indication indicating the low power general advertisement is for proximity pairing. The method includes receiving, from a first display device, a connection request message in response to the low power general advertisement; performing an authentication procedure with the first display device; and pairing and bonding with the first display device based on successful authentication with the first display device.

Exciter assemblies

Provided herein are systems, devices, assemblies, and methods for generating exciter signals, for example, to activate a remotely located tag. The systems, devices, assemblies, and methods find use in a variety of application including medical applications for the locating of a tag in a subject.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AND MONITORING INHALATIONS

Described herein are an interactive apparatus and methods for sensing and measuring real-time characteristic patterns of a subject's use of a dry powder inhalation system. The inhaler device can be used in a wireless communication mode to communicate with a display to assess the subject's usage of the inhalation system concurrently as the inhalation is performed and thus the subject's inhalation can be evaluated as well as the performance of the inhalation system. The system can also detect the identity of the medicament, its dosage, lot, expiration, etc. and the characteristic profile of a dry powder formulation emitted from the inhalation system in use and allows effective delivery of powder doses. Data obtained can be transmitted to a digital application and can be analyzed for optimal therapeutic utility.

Health information measurement system

A system includes an implant configured to be inserted subcutaneously into an individual, a transceiver configured to communicate wirelessly with the implant, and a database provided with at least one of the transceiver, a user device, and a remote storage device. The implant includes a sensor module configured to measure data relating to a health of the individual. The transceiver is configured to provide a first signal to the implant that conveys energy to power the implant and a second signal to the transceiver that contains the data. The database is operatively coupled to the transceiver and configured to store the data. The at least one of the transceiver, the user device, and the remote storage device include a processing circuit configured to access the database and provide the data to a user.

APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING

A monitoring device wearable by a person to be monitored, comprising: one or more sensing means for sensing cardio, respiratory, physiological and/or other information from the person; processing means for analysing the sensed information; memory means for storing the sensed and/or analysed information; and communication means for transmitting at least the analysed information. At least one waveform acquired from the sensed cardio, respiratory, physiological and/or other information is digitised in real time; analysis of the sensed and/or digitised information is performed in real-time and a welfare indication of the person computed in real-time; and the computed welfare indication of the person is transmitted by the communication means and/or stored in the memory means.

INTELLIGENT JOINT PROSTHESIS

Medical devices coupled to a sensor, and systems including such devices, can generate data and analysis based on that data, which may be used to identify and/or address problems associated with the implanted medical device, including incorrect placement of the device, unanticipated degradation of the device, and undesired movement of the device. Also provided are medical devices coupled to a sensor, and devices and methods to address problems that have been identified with an implanted medical device.
