DEVICE AND PROCESS FOR THE ORIENTATION OF CONTAINERS
A device and a process for the orientation of containers with a carousel rotating about a vertical axis with a circumferential plurality of rotating seats imparting a rotation to each container causing a rotation-revolution. A recording device with illuminator recording multiple sequential images of the container during rotation-revolution. A controller adapted learn the lateral surface of said container in a number of positions. Learning each of the N positions said container is positioned with a random initial orientation, and during rotation a number of images are recorded. The controller acquires one current image, processes a similarity function representing the similarity between each current image and the images recorded in the same position in said learning step, calculates the similarity functions and the angle corresponding to the maximum value of this sum is used for the orientation of said container.
Robotic labeling system and method of labeling packages
A robotic labeling system for labeling packages on a pallet includes a depalletizing station having a pallet holding a plurality of unlabeled packages and a palletizing station having a pallet configured to receive a plurality of labeled packaged. The robotic labeling system includes a labeling station configured to successively receive the packages for labeling. The labeling station has a labeling device preparing labels for the packages and a label applicator moving the labels from the labeling device to the corresponding packages. The labeling station includes a label verification scanning device scanning the applied labels for label verification. The robotic labeling system includes a palletizing robot moving the unlabeled packages from the depalletizing station to the labeling station for label application and moving the labeled packages from the labeling station to the palletizing station after label verification.

Machine For Applying Labels Or Other Markings To Containers
A machine (328) is selectively operative to apply markings such as labels, sleeves, decorations and indicia to containers (340). The machine includes a suspended container conveyor (SC) (320). SC shuttles (336) are selectively independently movable around an SC track (330). The SC shuttles include a respective container engagement fixture (338) and are selectively movable to engage an upper portion of a container. In the container engaged position each container is selectively vertically, rotatably and linearly movable so as to be positioned in operative connection with applicators (434, 436). The applicators are selectively operative to apply markings to respective containers that are in operative connection therewith in a precise and repeatable manner.

Machine for treating or conveying containers
A machine for treating or conveying containers, comprising a guide extending along a feed direction for feeding the containers and a plurality of carriages for supporting the containers slidably mounted on a same guide consecutively to each other; said guide and each carriage together defining respective linear motors. Each support carriage comprises at least a part of respective gripping means and, in particular, two gripping means respectively mounted on different and consecutive carriages along the same guide. The carriages are movable towards or away from each other so as to regulate the reciprocal distance along the feed direction for feeding the containers and define a picking area of the gripping means between them as a function of the type of container to be picked or released.
LABEL PLACEMENT SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a label-placement module having a first feeder assembly, including a horizontal delivery platter for receiving a label, and a first drive wheel, positioned adjacent to a distal end of the horizontal delivery platter and rotatable to move the label on the horizontal delivery platter in a first direction. The label-placement module may include a second feeder assembly coupled to an actuator that moves the second feeder assembly vertically to a delivery position associated with the container. The second feeder assembly having a vertical delivery platter for receiving the label from the horizontal delivery platter and a second drive wheel rotatable to move the label forward in the first direction towards the container such that at least a portion of the label may be clamped between the container and a lid of the container thereby attaching the label to the container.
