APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR TREATING PERIIMPLANTITIS USING UVC
The disclosure is directed to systems and methods for treatment of periimplantitis using ultraviolet light. In some embodiments, the ultraviolet light is ultraviolet c light with a wavelength between 100 and 280 nanometers. In some embodiments, the ultraviolet c light makes the surface of the implant hydrophilic and more receptive to cell protein attachment. In some embodiments, an apparatus for treating periimplantitis using ultraviolet light includes a handpiece with a flexible neck and a rotatable tip at the end of the flexible neck. In some embodiments, the handpiece includes a contra angle dental handpiece or a straight dental handpiece which can couple to and direct ultraviolet light from either an end firing tip or a side firing tip. In some embodiments, the handpiece is sized to enable UVC light to be directed to an exposed area of an implant facing toward one or more posterior portions of the oral cavity.
LASER DEVICE FOR DENTISTRY
A laser device for dentistry has a body, a light source group, and a light guiding pipe. The body has an outer casing, an operating module, and a controlling module. The light source group is disposed in the body and has multiple light-emitting elements, a reflector, a collimating mirror, and a focusing mirror. Each light-emitting element is a laser diode, is disposed at a connecting portion of the body and is electrically connected to the controlling module. The reflector is mounted around the light-emitting elements. The collimating mirror is disposed on a side of the reflector away from the light-emitting elements. The focusing mirror is disposed on a side of the collimating mirror away from the reflector. The light guiding pipe is detachably connected to the connecting portion of the body and is located on a front side of the light source group.
PREVENATIVE DENTAL HARD TISSUE LASER TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In one aspect, embodiments relate to a system for performing preventative dental laser treatment. The system includes, a code reader configured to read a machine readable code, a processor configured to verify the machine readable code and prevent future verification of the machine readable code, and a laser treatment system configured to perform a laser treatment, based upon the verified machine readable code. The laser treatment system includes a laser arrangement configured to generate a laser beam, an optical arrangement configured to direct the laser beam toward a dental hard tissue, and a laser controller configured to control a parameter of the laser beam in order to heat at least a portion of a surface of the dental hard tissue to a temperature above 400° Celsius.
Dental Suction Device, and Dental Suction Device and Instrument Assembly
A dental suction device for suction of fluid deflections and aerosols produced by the effect of a drill or laser of a dental instrument inside the oral cavity, and attachment for removably attaching the dental suction device to the dental instrument, characterised in that the dental suction devices comprises a tubular body for suctioning fluid that forms a first outer cavity to receive a working head of the dental instrument, wherein a distal portion (B) of the tubular body extends radially so as to at least partially surround a perimeter of the first outer cavity housing the working head of the dental instrument, wherein a wall of the distal portion (B) of the tubular body incorporates at least one suction orifice.
Endodontic system and instrument for irrigation and disinfection of a tooth root canal
A dental instrument for use with a dental handpiece cleans and disinfects tooth root canals. The instrument includes a shaft and connector for releasable attachment to the handpiece, the shaft including at least a tip end, a distal portion approximate to the connector, and at least two radial protrusions extending along length of the shaft with a longitudinal groove extending between the at least two radial protrusions.
Method and arrangement for cleaning of a canal
The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the cleaning of a circumferentially closed canal by means of a light guide conducting a laser beam, wherein the entry of the laser beam into the light guide is interrupted when the free end of the light guide is outside of the canal and/or the movement of the light guide within the canal is monitored and if there is no movement or the movement is below a first threshold value then a signal is triggered and/or the laser radiation is turned off or its output is reduced, and wherein the turning off of the laser radiation or its reducing is controlled in dependency of at least one signal change and/or a second threshold and/or a signal change relative to the second threshold determined during at least one course of time starting before and including the entry of the light guide into the canal.
Laser assisted wound healing protocol and system
The present invention provides for devices and methods of treating wounds, including general wounds, gum disease and gingival tissues post scaling/root planning, using a diode laser which generates a beam of light having a wavelength in the visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum (400 nm-700 nm). Further disclosed are devices and methods capable of stimulating tissue regeneration at the site of a wound.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LASER BASED WHITENING TREATMENT OF HARD TISSUE
The disclosed invention relates to a system and method for treatment of a dental hard tissue. The system can include a laser source for generating a laser beam; at least one optic in optical communication with the laser source and adapted to define and direct a non-ablative laser radiation to a treatment surface of the hard dental tissue; and a conduit adapted to apply a whitening treatment to the treatment surface, wherein application of both the non-ablative laser radiation and the whitening treatment results in a ΔE measurement of at least 2.5 times greater than a treatment surface without application of the non-ablative laser radiation.
Dental and medical treatments and procedures
A method treating a root canal in a tooth by introducing into the pulp chamber of a tooth and pulsing a laser light into the fluid reservoir so as to disintegrate pulp within the root canal without generation of any significant heat in said liquid fluid so as to avoid elevating the temperature of any of the dentin, tooth, or other adjacent tissue more than about 5° C.
