APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED BEVERAGE CANISTER HOLDING, HANDLING AND DRINKING
20200290772 · 2020-09-17 ·

The improved beverage canister is configured with six predetermined and preformed indentations. Of the six predetermined and preformed indentations, four indentations are located on the rear of the beverage canister. These four predetermined and preformed indentations are located where the user would place his four fingers when drinking. The fifth predetermined and preformed indentation would be located above the vertical centerline of the beverage canister on the front of the beverage canister. This fifth predetermined and preformed indentation is located for the user's thumb. The sixth predetermined and preformed indentation is located on the front of the beverage canister, just below the top portion of the beverage canister and right below the opening where the beverage exits the opening. The optional improved body texture could consist of a partially or entirely knurled surface or a textured label to improve the grip of the canister.

Tamper Evidencing Metal Foil Container Closure

A tamper evident metal foil closure for a container which provides visual evidence of tampering in the form of damage to the metal foil (e.g. tearing) and evidence of temperature tampering of the metal foil when heat is used to remove and reseal the metal foil. Containers sealed with this novel metal foil closure make it more difficult to tamper with or remove the container contents and then return the container for a refund.

Can lid and beverage can

A first score line (430) is curled inward at one end section (431) and the other end section (432) of the first score line (430) so as to go into a region enclosed by the first score line (430), and the first score line (430) approaches a center line (CL) of a tab as going to the trailing ends thereof. In addition, a curvature at which the first scored line (430) is brought closer to the other end section (432) side is applied to the one end section (431) of the first score line (430), and a curvature at which the first score line (430) is brought closer to the one end section (431) side is also applied to the other end section (432) of the first score line (430).

PRESSURE EQUALIZATION APPARATUS FOR A CONTAINER AND METHODS ASSOCIATED THEREWITH
20200216237 · 2020-07-09 ·

A device is provided that assists with equalizing air pressure within a container with the atmospheric air pressure as liquid is being poured from the container and includes one or more relatively short air tubes. The device is provided with the ability to simultaneously equalize pressure in the container while also providing a drip collection mechanism. The device may be configured for unidirectional pouring or multi-directional pouring.

SAFETY OPENING CAP
20200207510 · 2020-07-02 ·

The safety opening cap of the present disclosure is a safety opening cap for opening a can lid of a can including, a protruding rim formed to protrude from an upper part of a can in which food is stored, a can lid formed inside the protruding rim and covering the upper part of the can, and a tab having one side coupled to the can lid, wherein the safety opening cap includes, a cap body forming a main body, an outer wall extended downwards from an outer peripheral surface of the cap body, a tab lifting part formed to be protruding from an upper surface of the cap body by a predetermined thickness and having an inclined surface, and a tab passing means formed on the upper surface of the cap body for forming a space in which the tab can be inserted when the cap body is pressed downwards.

CONTAINER END CLOSURE LINER AND METHODS OF PREPARING THE SAME
20200207514 · 2020-07-02 · ·

Disclosed herein is an improved metal or glass container. The metal or glass container includes a body portion and an end closure. The end closure includes a laminated polymer film attached to the product facing side of the end closure. When the container is sealed, the laminated polymer film attached to the product facing side of the end closure forms a liner.

CAN AND AN URGING MEMBER THEREFOR

An urging member and a can using such member as a base of the can, are provided for containing in the can a product comprising solid component(s) and liquid component(s). The can with the product, at least in a ready-for-sale state, comprises a lid hermetically sealing the can and at least partially openable to allow at least partial removal of the product, the base opposite the lid constituted by the member and a side wall extending therebetween. The member is for urging inwardly by a user applying, at least in use of the can when the lid has been at least partially opened, an urging force, allowing changing the state of the member between a first state, in which the can has a first contained volume and a second, deformed state, in which the can has a second contained volume smaller than the first contained volume.

A furan can for containing a product includes a sealed container that contains the product and includes a furan resin selected from the group consisting of: poly (ethylene 2, 5-furan dicarboxylate) (PEF), poly (butylene 2, 5-furan dicarboxylate) (PBF), poly (trim ethylene furan dicarboxylate) (PTF), poly (propylene 2, 5-furandicarboxylate) (PPF), and poly (neopentyl 2, 5-furandicarboxylate) (PNF); and a release mechanism to open the container and access the product. The can may further include a generally cylindrical shell molded to have a sealed bottom and a straight wall that includes the furan resin; and a cap to seal the shell, the cap having the release mechanism and a rim that includes the furan resin; wherein the rim of the cap is bonded to the wall of the shell to releasably seal the product inside the can.

Dome Formation Profile & Method of Lightweight Container Design and Manufacture
20200031554 · 2020-01-30 ·

The inventive technology includes a novel container dome profile and manufacturing process for improving container and bottle deformation failure resistance and extending material displacement modes through an initial deformation panel coordinated with complimentary geometric paneling and buttressing structures configured to initiate a controlled sequential dome profile deformation mode. Dome reversal, dome growth, and dome drop resistance characteristics are improved with a shallower profile formation depth, reducing pulldown, and lowering material consumption, resulting in lower overall container/bottle weight. Novel geometric contoured shapes enhance container resistance performance, supporting use of softer alloys or lower temper and yield strength to benefit post-processing efficiency and forming processes improvements while being configured to initiate controlled sequential dome profile deformation.
