A method is for manufacturing a cartridge (10, 27, 30) for containing and meterably dispensing a reservoir (11) contained flowable dental material (36). The reservoir (11) is connected to a cannula section (14) for dispensing the dental material (36). A separate functional element (15) is connected to the cannula section (14). The cartridge (10, 27, 30) is manufactured together with the functional element (15) according to a multicomponent injection molding method. The functional element (15) is designed as a detachable closing element. The functional element (15) and the cartridge (10, 27, 30) are positioned during the manufacture such that the functional element (15) is mounted at least partially in the cannula section (14). The functional element (15) has a plug part (16) for closing the cannula section (14) and a cannula duct (24) of the cannula section (14) is filled at least partially with the plug part (16).

The invention relates to dental micro-applicators having a body with a distal and a proximal end, whereby, on the proximal end, an application aid is provided, at least in part, with at least one additive selected from metals, metal-containing compounds, and organometallic compounds for affecting the polymerisation of dental materials, as well as a method for the production thereof and a kit comprising the applicator and a dental adhesive.

A dental pipette. The dental pipette includes a container having a chamber configured to receive and retain fluids therein. A nozzle positioned at one end of the container is in fluid communication with the chamber via a conduit. A plurality of apertures disposed on the nozzle enable fluids within the chamber to be dispensed from the nozzle. A plurality of bristles extend radially outwardly from the nozzle and taper in length from one end of the nozzle to a second end of the nozzle forming a cone-like construction. The apertures and bristles are positioned at intervals and assist with the cleaning of teeth, gums, and the like. A hollow, beveled tip disposed at one end of the nozzle facilitates easy insertion under the gum line and in between teeth. Usage of the dental pipette provides protection from gum infection, bone loss, and tooth loss.

A device for generating singlet oxygen is provided. The device has elongated posts extending from a surface, the lateral sides of which have particles with a sensitizer that converts triplet oxygen to single oxygen upon exposure to light. An optical fiber conveys light to the sensitizer and a gas supply tube conveys oxygen to the sensitizer. The device is configured to keep the sensitizer from contacting external fluids, such as saliva.

According to an exemplary embodiment, a toothbrush having one or two heads for use in a variety of humans and animals may be shown and described. The toothbrush can have offset heads and bristle areas, include multiple curves of an arm portion to provide improved access and cleaning ability, and may be separable or combined with other toothbrush elements or components.

A dental dispensing tip includes a body having a first body end, a second body end, and a fluid passageway extending between the first and second body ends. A brush cup is provided at the second body end and has a brush barrel defined therein. A brush applicator is secured within the brush barrel and includes a plurality of bristles, wherein a first end of the brush applicator is received within the brush barrel and a second end of the brush applicator extends out of the brush barrel. A delivery cannula is in fluid communication with the fluid passageway and has a bent end entering the plurality of bristles at an intermediate location between the first and second ends to deliver the dental solution to the plurality of bristles.

A dispenser includes a container, an applicator and a head part. The head part has the applicator, and is axially moveable relative to an outlet of the container. The head part includes a passage connected to the applicator in a fluid conducting manner, the passage further being connected to the container in a fluid conducting manner in an activated state of the dispenser and with no fluid communication being possible in a storage state of the dispenser. The passage extends along an outer circumferential surface of the head part, the head part having a base with a seal configured to seal with respect to the outlet of the container in the storage state of the dispenser.

An interdental brush (10) for cleaning gaps between teeth and/or dental implants includes a brush head (11, 19, 22) which has a longitudinal bristle carrier (13, 20) and a plurality of bristles (16, 23). The bristles (16, 23) extend away from the bristle carrier (13, 10) in a radially outward manner. To ease cleaning of the gaps between teeth and/or a dental implant, in particular to reduce the risk of injury when using an interdental brush (10), the brush head (11, 19, 22) of the interdental brush (10) is embodied as a single-component injection molded part.

A method for applying a composition to teeth and a dispenser for dispensing a composition. The method of the present invention is directed to the storage and dispensing of a composition. During storage and subsequent use the composition in the storage chamber must be maintained segregated from the applicator surface. This is accomplished by delivering the composition from the storage chamber through a delivery channel having a length and a cross-sectional diameter sufficient to preclude the migration of moisture and the enzyme catalase from the application surface to the storage chamber. The composition is applied to teeth by means of bristles, a sponge surface or fibrillated surface. This applicator can be used with both aqueous and non-aqueous compositions.
