SEGMENTED VAPOR PLUG
Methods, apparatus, and device, such as a vapor plug, which partially seals an opening of a dewar. The vapor plug includes a vapor plug cover. The vapor plug cover is configured to cover an opening of a dewar. The vapor plug includes a neck that is formed from multiple disks and multiple sheets. The vapor plug includes a fastener that connects the multiple disks, the multiple sheets and the vapor plug cover.
Self-opening and self-plugging bottle stopper
A bottle stopper adapted for self-opening and self-plugging a bottle, comprising a cylindrical cover having a bottom end and a top end. The cylindrical cover is sized and shaped to plug a bottle. A cartridge is encompassed by the cylindrical cover and has a fluid chamber; the cartridge also has at least one lateral protrusion thereon to form between the cartridge and the cylindrical cover. There is at least one fluid channel for fluidly connecting between a space below the bottom end and above the top end. A conduit having at least one inlet and at least one outlet is for fluidly connecting transferring the fluid of the fluid chamber to outside of the bottle stopper. An activation cap is mounted to push the conduit along a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical cover from a closed state to an open state.
Bottle closure assembly for efficient production of sparkling wine
This invention relates to a bottle closure assembly (10) for use in the efficient production of sparkling wines. The invention comprises: a stopper (12) for sealing engagement within the finish and/or neck portion(s) of a bottle (100); a passage (18) within said stopper extending longitudinally from a wine-side opening (20) at one end thereof; and a valve member (30) located within said passage. The valve member is selectively gravity-responsive thus allowing passage of liquid and/or solid and/or gaseous materials to be permitted or prevented dependent upon the orientation of the bottle closure assembly. This invention also discloses a disgorgement method for use in the production of sparkling wines.
Beverage container stopper and pressurization system
A stopper for closing sparkling and other non-pressurized beverage containers. A stopper body may have a carrier member and lip engagement member arranged for sliding movement relative to each other and relative to the stopper body. The lip engagement member may be arranged to engage with a lip of a container neck, and be resiliently biased to move toward the carrier member to provide a seal-forming force on a sealing surface of the stopper body. The stopper may be arranged to introduce gas into the container, e.g., to re-pressurize the container to keep a carbonation level of beverage during storage.
Pull ring seal system for containers
Systems and methods for storing a liquid include a container including a body portion defining an internal chamber and at least one opening in communication with the internal chamber, and an insertable plug including a plug body with two rings attached to the plug body via hinges, the insertable plug configured to be inserted into the opening so that a portion of the plug body covers a lip of the opening to restrict access through the opening to the liquid contained in the internal chamber, wherein the hinges can be deformed to raise the two rings away from the plug body. An insertable plug for a container can include a cylindrical plug body, and two rings attached to the plug body by hinges, wherein the hinges can bend to orient the rings towards or away from the plug body.
Systems, methods, and apparatuses to optimize all stages of production of sparkling wine using the champagne method
Systems, methods, and apparatuses to optimize all stages of sparkling wine production using the Champagne method. For instance, there is a specially configured apparatus utilized for a method for producing sparkling wine within the wine bottle through a secondary fermentation. The apparatus is attached to the wine bottle to seal in pressure. Specifically, a neck collar of the apparatus is positioned upon a neck section and a sealing cap is pressed onto a mouth opening wine bottle above the neck collar and coupled to the neck collar of the apparatus. A tensioner of the apparatus induces a clamping force between the neck collar and the sealing cap to seal the pressure generated from fermentation. A pressure indicator measures and displays pressure which is retained and limited to a maximum pressure within the bottle via a Pressure Reduction Valve (PRV) of the apparatus. Sediment from fermentation is removed without freezing via a riddling operations and evacuation of sediment from an inverted bottle through a ball valve configured within the apparatus. Other related embodiments are disclosed.
Vibrating cap removably affixed to a container retaining a viscous substance
A vibrating cap that works in conjunction with a container that contains a viscous substance selected from the group consisting of pain relievers, muscle relaxants and medicine. A user can remove the upper vibrating cap from the lower body portion of the container, apply the contents of the container to a desired portion of the user's body, then place the cap onto the lower body portion of the container and turn the rotating cap portion on to vibrate. The user can then place the vibrating cap over the location where the viscous substance was applied for beneficial effects.
One-Piece Safety Tube Closure with Film Element
A closure having enhanced oxygen barrier capabilities includes a cap body formed from a first material, the cap body defining a cavity therethrough, a stopper formed from a second material, the second material being different than the first material and disposed within the cavity, and a barrier layer formed from a third material, the third material being different than at least the second material and associated with at least one of the cap body and the stopper. A container assembly including a closure and a method of forming the closure is also provided.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER CLOSURE WITH VENTING
A beverage container closure or lid adapted for closing an open end of a beverage container. The lid is couplable to the beverage container and includes a selectively openable stopper that when closed, creates a fluid-tight seal between the beverage container and the environment. The stopper may be opened by pressing a button disposed on a side of the beverage container closure. The stopper is subsequently automatically closed when the button is released. Thus, the user may open and close the beverage container closure using a single hand without the need to remove the beverage container closure from the beverage container. The beverage container closure includes an actuating lever configured to press the button when a user applies a force to the lever. By utilizing the mechanical advantage provided by the lever, a user is able to selectively open and close the stopper using a relatively low amount of force.
TAMPER-EVIDENT CLOSURES
A tamper evident closure comprises a cap having a plug, a skirt and a locking member. The cap and the skirt have seats in which a first portion and a second portion of the locking member are arranged. Upon first opening, as the cap moves longitudinally away from the skirt, the lower edge of the cap passes over the first portion longitudinally so that, upon reclosing the closure, the first portion positions in an obstructive manner between the lower edge of the cap and the upper edge of the skirt.
