Device and Method for Making Space Between Teeth
A device and a method for making space between teeth that can efficiently form a necessary space between adjacent teeth in a short time and reduce the physical burden on both the patient and the person who gives treatment. The device for making space includes an ultrasonic oscillator, an ultrasonic vibrator which receives a driving signal from the ultrasonic oscillator and vibrates ultrasonically, a grinding tip to which the vibration from the ultrasonic vibrator is transmitted, and a power supply device which supplies power to the ultrasonic oscillator. The opposing surfaces of the adjacent teeth T are ground by ultrasonic vibration of the grinding tip inserted between the two adjacent teeth T.
Method of forming a dental prosthesis
A processing machine and a method of using the processing machine to process a block to form a dental prosthesis is provided. The processing machine includes a polishing jig. The polishing jig is for machining tools which makes it possible for a deteriorating machining tool to be used again without detaching the machining tool, with which the processing machine is equipped, from the processing machine. The polishing jig for machining tools comprises an attachment part to be attached to the processing machine; and a polishing face that is at least part of a surface of the polishing jig, the polishing face adapted to polish a processing part of a machining tool.

INTERDENTAL INSTRUMENT
An interdental instrument may include a handling section (handle) for manual gripping of the interdental instrument, a carrier held by the handling section, on which an interdental part (e.g. a flossette or an abrasive element) is arranged, a joint device for pivotally holding the carrier on the handling section, so that the carrier can be pivoted relative to the handling section about a pivot axis between at least two mutually angularly offset holding positions. The joint device may include two mutually opposite sliding guide surfaces which are formed on the carrier side and/or handling section side, where the pivot axis crosses the sliding guide surfaces and may be being perpendicular to the two sliding guide surfaces.
Kit and Method for Home Use for Interproximal Reduction (IPR) Stripping of Teeth for Braces or Aligners
An interproximal reduction (IPR) kit and method for using the same. The patient takes their own dental impression and submits it to a dental service provider for a treatment plan. A set of aligners based on the treatment plan are then delivered to the patient as part of a kit. The kit also includes a set of written instructions and/or a treatment diagram and a plurality of strips used to reduce the widths of specific spots of the patient's teeth according to the treatment plan. The patient follows the reapproximation instructions or is instructed to go to a website for supervision for the performance of the reapproximation process. After sufficient instruction, the patient applies the plurality of strips to the correct spots between their teeth. Once reapproximation is complete, the patient is ready to begin wearing the aligners as dictated by the treatment plan.
DENTAL ABRASIVE DISK
A dental abrasive disk, defined by a disk radius, an outer perimeter edge, opposite first and second surfaces and a base thickness, includes a center coupling and at least one of the first or second surfaces having an inner abrasive zone and an outer nonabrasive zone, the ratio of nonabrasive zone depth to disk radius in the range 20% to 40%. The disk may include dimpled surfaces. The disk may include a distributed pattern of perforations. The disk may include a beveled or radiused edge. The disk may include a serrated perimeter edge.

Dental wedges and matrix bands for use in direct composite restoration techniques
A wedge system for use in a dental restoration procedure for a posterior tooth. The wedge system includes a first wedge including a body portion adapted to be disposed in an approximal space, a first arm extending from the body, a second arm extending from the body portion, a gap formed between the first arm and the second arm, a first rib arranged on an inner surface of the first arm, and a second rib arranged on an inner surface of the second arm, wherein each of the first and second ribs is adapted to engage tissue defining the approximal space. In some cases, the wedge system may also include a second wedge including a body portion, at least a portion of which can be disposed in the gap of the first wedge to removably secure the second wedge to the first wedge.
Dental wedges and matrix bands for use in direct composite restoration techniques for anterior teeth
A wedge for use in a dental restoration procedure for an anterior tooth. The wedge includes a handle portion, a body portion coupled to and extending outward from the handle portion, and a matrix band coupled to the body portion. The body portion is adapted to be disposed in an approximal space between the anterior tooth and a tooth adjacent the anterior tooth. The matrix band is adapted to contact the anterior tooth when the body portion is disposed in the approximal space.
