Preservation method
A method for preserving wine or other oxygen sensitive items is disclosed. In some embodiments, the method involves injecting 0.15 gram to 0.5 gram of an inert gas into a container comprising wine and oxygen, without raising a pressure within the container above 10 psig, to form a barrier layer of the inert gas between the wine and the oxygen in the container without displacing all of the oxygen from the container.
Food storage container
A configurable container is provided that has an interior surface configured to secure one or more rigid or flexible dividers and to allow for reconfigurable interior compartments of the container. The dividers may also include an integrated material such as a gel that can be heated or cooled in order to maintain a desired temperature within the container. The container may include a lid that engages the top surfaces of the dividers to establish a plurality of substantially sealed compartments within the container.
Beverage filtration device
Beverage filtration device including a lid body having an internal housing configured to hold an ion exchange resin-filed cartridge therein having a connection end and a top end having an opening therein, and, stem body having a cap region, collar, beverage conduit and stem air tube. The cap region couples to the connection end of the lid body to form a liquid-tight seal coupling there-between. A collar wall first portion fits inside a beverage mouth container and a second portion located outside of the mouth. The beverage conduit spans the collar, a first conduit opening open to the coupling between the cap region and the connection end and a second conduit open to a container interior. The stem body air tube extends through the collar, a proximal opening of the stem body air tube opens to an air vent hole located in the second portion of the collar wall, and, a distal opening of the stem body air tube opens to the container interior.
Hydraulic device for a rail vehicle
A hydraulic device for a rail vehicle includes a fluid container, a motor with a pump, a control plate, a control region, a ventilation and purging unit for ventilating and purging the fluid container, wherein the ventilation and purging unit has a valve unit integrated into a wall of a housing of the fluid container, and a channel labyrinth connected to the valve unit.
Container with automatic lid closure
A drinking container includes an automatically opening and closing magnetic lid. The drinking container includes a container portion, a sleeve, and a lid. The sleeve is moveable between a closed position and an open position with respect to the container portion, the sleeve including a sleeve magnet. The lid is moveable from a closed configuration to an open configuration, the lid including a lid magnet, the closed configuration of the lid sealing an access pathway to an interior of the container portion, the open configuration of the lid opening the access pathway to the interior of the container portion. In the closed position of the sleeve, a biased force holds the lid in the closed configuration. In the open position of the sleeve, the sleeve magnet and the lid magnet have a magnetic force greater than the biased force to place the lid in the open configuration.
Self-resealing venting elastomeric closure for use with oral syringes, pipettes and the like
A self-venting self-resealing pre-cut elastomeric closure for vials, bottles and the like, comprising a dished elastomeric septum supported for closing an opening in a container, a cut across the dished elastomeric septum, and additional cuts defining with the cross cut one or more flap areas elastically displaceable from a closed condition to a venting condition in response to insertion of a liquid transfer implement through the central area of the septum dish.
BEVERAGE CHUGGING DEVICE
The invention is a rubber chugging device that can be stretched to fit over the top of a beer bottle or can to allow the drinker an easier way to “chug” a beverage. There will be a rubber straw-like tube in each device that allows air to escape while the consumer drinks.
One-way valve for food packages
A one-way valve, a food package comprising such a one-way valve and a method for manufacturing such a one-way valve is disclosed. The valve comprises a first membrane and a second membrane having a smaller surface area than the first membrane and furthermore being fixed to a bottom surface of the second membrane. The valve is furthermore adapted to be fixed to the food package and cover the aperture such that a canal is formed between the food package and the second membrane when a gas pressure inside the food package exceeds a threshold value, the canal extending from the aperture to the peripheral edge of the first membrane along the second membrane.
Lid for containers and related methods
A lid designed to allow a user to see and adjust the humidity levels of a container using a hygrometer and pocket for humidity packs. The lid also allows this to be accomplished without removing the lid because a hatch gives the user access to the inside of the container and underside of the lid, where the pocket is located. Also, the hatch on the lid provides a more efficient and easier method of accessing the contents of a container because a user can simply open and close a hatch, instead of needing to unlock a lever locking latch to remove a lid.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER HAVING A PRESSURE-RELIEF DEVICE AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A BEVERAGE CONTAINER HAVING A PRESSURE-RELIEF DEVICE
The present invention relates to a container assembly for accommodating a beverage. The container assembly comprises a collapsible beverage container having a body part for accommodating the beverage and a cylindrical neck part defining a gas-filled headspace. The container assembly further comprises a closure sealing off an opening of the cylindrical neck part. The closure comprises a closure disc, an inner cylindrical part and an outer cylindrical part. The closure disc comprises a beverage outlet for extracting the beverage. The closure further comprises a pressure-relief device located at the closure disc or the inner cylindrical part. The pressure-relief device is capable of establishing a permanent or reclosable opening through the closure or between the closure and the neck part for allowing a flow of fluid from the headspace to an external space when a pressure difference exceeds a predetermined pressure value being lower than the burst pressure of the container.
