SUBSTRATE STORAGE CONTAINER

According to one embodiment, a substrate storage container comprises: a container body configured to store a substrate; a lid that closes a rectangular opening of the container body; and an annular gasket located between the container body and the lid. The container body has at least either one of a guide rib or a guide slit in an opening portion around the opening. The lid has at least either one of a guide slit or a guide rib that is engageable with the guide rib or the guide slit of the container body. The guide rib and the guide slit engage each other when the opening is closed with the lid and prevent the lid from tilting at a predetermined tilt angle or more with respect to an opening surface where the opening is formed.

Closure and Lid and Method of Forming Closure and Lid

An example lid assembly can include a lid and a slider. The lid can include a wall defining a recess. The slider can be configured to slide in the recess and can be configured to move between a closed position where the slider covers the opening to aid in preventing spilling of contents of the container, and an opened position where the slider uncovers the opening such that the contents may be poured from the container. The slider can be configured to be removable from the lid and can be replaced back on the lid. Additionally, the slider can be formed from upper and lower sled elements that are magnetically coupled to one another.

The Pressure Relieving Panel for a Caning Jar is a device that allows for the convenient use of a standard sized caning jar to be used for anaerobic, lactic acid fermentation, i.e. making homemade sauerkraut, pickles, or other ferments. The device is configured as a replacement, sealing panel or lid for a standard sized caning jar that allows the CO2 gas from the fermentation process to escape from the jar. This device makes use of a one-way, pressure-relieving check valve incorporated into the sealing panel that prevents outside air (oxygen) from getting back into the jar where the anaerobic fermentation process is taking place. The pressure relieving, sealing panel(s) of the instant invention do not require regular monitoring or refilling as required for water type, air lock devices.

FLEXIBLE VACUUM SEALING ADAPTER FOR USE WITH FOOD STORAGE SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
20170327293 · 2017-11-16 ·

The present invention relates primarily to vacuum preservation of items, and particularly to a flexible vacuum sealing adapter for use with food storage systems, wherein the flexible vacuum sealing adapter includes a flexible container interface, the flexible container interface having circumferential sidewall and an upper sealing wall, the flexible container interface being configured to seal an opening of a storage container, a vacuum port assembly being provided through the flexible container interface, the vacuum port assembly including a vacuum interface and a check valve configured to provide unidirectional flow of air from within the storage container to an exterior environment; and a deflection interface, the deflection interface including one or more input tabs, wherein a force input to the one or more input tabs results in an elastic deformation of the flexible container interface so as to cause an increase in diameter of the circumferential sidewall.

Insulating Container

An insulating container having a base and a lid is provided. The lid may be rotatable about a hinge from a closed configuration to an open configuration and may be secured, via one or more latching devices, in either the closed configuration or the open configuration. In some examples, the rotatable lid may be non-destructively removable from the base. Some example arrangements include a removable lid that, when removed, may be secured to the base via an additional portion of the latching device. Additional features of the insulating container include handles that are integrally formed with the base, a recess formed in the base and housing a spigot, and/or a spigot guard.
