A method of packaging a product. The method includes wrapping a first product unit in a first protective cover, wrapping a second product unit in a second protective cover, arranging the wrapped first product unit adjacent to the wrapped second product unit to create a product unit arrangement, forming a band around the product unit arrangement to create a secured product unit arrangement, the band being printed with at least one graphic, wrapping the secured product unit arrangement in a protective wrapper to create a wrapped, secured product unit arrangement, the protective wrapper completely enveloping the band, and the first product and the second product unit of the secured product unit arrangement, and heating the protective wrapper to shrink the protective wrapper around the secured product unit arrangement.

A pack including at least two articles or PET containers combined with each other, which are held together by means of a strip-like or ribbon-like compact strapping and said strapping being stretched around an outer surface of the articles or PET containers in a horizontal manner. The strapping is made of one, two or more similar or different plastic strapping band or bands made of a composite material with overlapping ends each whereby a single part or multi part contact point is formed by gluing and/or welding. The strapping forms a relief loop at the contact site or apart from the contact site.

A pallet support block is constructed of recycled plastic material that is also recyclable. The use of the pallet support block in pallet construction reduces the amount of wood used in the pallet construction and thereby makes the pallet lighter and reduces the cost of manufacturing the pallet.

The longest dimension extends in a first direction. The glass articles in each layer are arranged side by side in a second direction. The plurality of layers are arranged side by side in a third direction. The first, second, and third directions being perpendicular to one another. The thread-like element is around two of the glass articles in at least one layer so that the two glass articles are spaced apart.

A bundled object is obtained in which a plurality of overlapped articles is sufficiently strongly bundled and it is also easy to release the bundling. A bundled object 1 is configured to include a body-to-be-bundled 3 which is made by overlapping a plurality of articles 2 and has four marginal portions 3a each extending a direction orthogonal to an overlapping direction, and a strip-shaped plastic tape 4 which bundles the body-to-be-bundled 3 by winding around the body-to-be-bundled 3 once so as to pass over the four marginal portions 3a. Then, both end portions 4a and 4b other than a winding portion of the plastic tape 4 are overlapped on each other at a position away from the body-to-be-bundled 3 and close to one marginal portion 3a, and the overlapped tape both end portions 4a and 4b are welded to each other at a plurality of welded portions H.

A handled packaging system having upper corner pieces and lower corner pieces. The lower corner piece has first and second opposed side panels, and an end panel connected to the first and second side panels. A first bottom flap connected to the first side panel and a second bottom flap connected to the second side panel are secured in overlapping and parallel relationship with a central bottom flap connected to the end panel. A handle connected to a handle plate extends through an opening in the end panel so that the handle is outside of the corner piece and the handle plate is inside of the corner piece. Protective panels may be provided and retained between the lower corner pieces 14 and the upper corner pieces.

The present invention relates to a packaging of containers comprising a plurality of containers and packaging material, wherein the packaging material is free of plastic and wherein the packaging material comprises a bottom piece made of cardboard or paperboard, wherein the bottom piece is a bottom sheet or a bottom tray, and at least one first paper tape comprising an adhesive. In one embodiment, the packaging of containers further comprises a top cover made of cardboard or paperboard, wherein the top cover is a top tray or a top lid, and wherein the at least one first paper tape connects the bottom piece with the top cover. In another embodiment, the first paper tape extends vertically around the packaging of containers from one side edge of the bottom piece to an opposing side edge of the bottom piece and is formed into a handle on top of the packaging of containers.

Each line of weakening is configured to form an extraction opening for the removal of smoking articles from a bundle of smoking articles wrapped in a longitudinal section of the wrapping material cut from the web. A portion of each line of weakening extends in a longitudinal direction, and at least a part of said portion extends at an angle to the longitudinal axis. A method of manufacturing an elongate web of wrapping material is also disclosed.
