A one-way valve to control the release of pressurized gas from within a sealed container through a venting aperture. The valve comprises a layer of flexible material having an upper and a lower surface with a portion of the upper surface adhered to a surface of the container and overlaying the venting aperture. A channel is defined by a portion of the container and an adjacent portion of the flexible material which has not been adhered to the container. The channel is in communication with the venting aperture and an exhaust gas aperture in the layer of flexible material. The channel is operable between a closed and an open configuration upon gas pressure within the container exceeding a predetermined limit. When open the channel permits gas to flow from said container into the exterior atmosphere. When closed the channel restricts the flow of gas between the venting aperture and exhaust gas aperture.

The present invention relates to a package capable of releasing pressure formed therein. Said packaging comprises a container portion which is formed for accommodating product, and a flexible film part comprising at least one pressure-releasing design on an external surface of said part, characterized in that said pressure-releasing design comprises a score of at least two identical or different patterns combined together such that no less than three intersections of the patterns are formed and at least one said pattern is a closed-shape pattern. A blister and package system made of a blister card and an outer package with unique interacting locking mechanisms. The blister card or strip is inserted into the outer package or sleeve and locks immediately without having to further process the outer package or the blister card or strip. The user is able to expose the blisters from the outer package by disengaging the lock. The blister card or strip includes a formable, pliable sheet material, into which one or more individual cavities or blisters are formed. The separated cavities are loaded with product and sealed with one or more layers of puncturable or tearable sheet material, such as aluminum foil. The blister card or strip contains a plastic rivet assembly that forms an interference mechanism. The rivet is trapped by an internally formed panel and stopped by a catch flap included in the outer package.
